I had the lypertek z3 and sennheiser mtw, sound wise sennheiser has more open sound stage and more refined sound while z3 has a more forwarding sound focus on female vocal and treble, recently the mtw broke and sent for repair, got the z7 and I can say in stock eq form the z7 sound kinda meh. However as I tweaked the custom eq it definitely sound much better than sennheiser mtw, it has the same wide soundstage and treble are more forward sounding than mtw. For pure sound quality alone, z7>mtw>z3, for value, z3>z7>mtw. Will stick to z7 as my daily tws as the sennheiser one broke on me twice as the most unreliable pair of earbuds I ever own among the 6 other brands I used to own.

Thanks for the feedback and we are happy you are enjoying the Z7 - the EQ really is very good in the app. What do you think of LDX mode?
@holeechit10543 жыл бұрын
@@hifiheadphones well for the z3 it definitely improves the sound quality alot and its awesome for the z3, while on the z7 sadly i dont find it as good as z3 ldx mode because the factory tuning of z7 sound a bit muffed and uninspiring. i ditched the ldx mode for custom eq for my z7 as i prefer better clarity and improved audio quality from the custom eq.

Thanks for that review! Triple driver hybrid sounds really interresing. I don't fully understand all the fuzz about ANC anyway. Once they're in your ear with music running - passive isolation is totally fine and you need way less battery. Unless you listen to quiet music of course. Do you know if Lypertek is planning an ANC version any time soon?

I considered going with the lyperteks originally, but settled on the anker soundcore liberty 2 pro's at the time. How does these compare to those? I know they have an extra balanced armature driver over the LP2's, but is it worth the money to "upgrade"?
@holeechit10543 жыл бұрын
I had both and with the right eq settings, lypertek z3 easily wins in sound quality alone. But Soundcore liberty 2 pro isn’t far behind either, in fact it has much better feature and more convenient for outdoor or gym usage compared to z3. For pure music enjoyment I would choose the z3, but for sporting event I would go for the liberty, it as better fitting and more bassy for adrenaline
@holeechit10543 жыл бұрын
But if you were to compare the z7 with liberty 2 pro, getting the z7 is a no brainer, the sound quality is way better than Soundcore in every aspect, and Bluetooth connection is much better and quicker than the z3.

@@holeechit1054 thanks. I truly appreciate sound quality, but then again I hit the gym 6 days a week. If the anker's are better for working out, then I'll stick with them. Plus I work out doors all day and need my buds to be secure. I already have some really nice beyerdynamics and an amp+dac for when I want real sound quality. But thanks for the response. I wish lypertek would take a note from anker and add the tip and wing customization. Two balanced armature drivers and a dynamic driver for bass with the ear tip and wing setup from anker and I would be sold.

I love my Tevi buds and these look like a nice upgrade!! I wonder why they didn't include ANC 🤔
@hifiheadphones3 жыл бұрын
Because ANC tends to have a negative impact on sound quality, and these were made to have the best sound quality without compromise. Also passive noise isolation works well anyway, and noise cancelling only really works well in constant noise environments.

@@hifiheadphones Yeah, this ☝🏼 I care more about SQ and battery life than a bunch of fancy features. Physical button, SQ, durability, customization in fit (they play well with other ear tips, unlike Jabra and many other brands) AND sound (I have a slight treble fetish due to owning Altec horns), and a TON of battery life! Also can use independently and the Z3 can fit in either ear no matter what it's labeled. Not sure about the Z7 but I'm curious :) Might snag some. I was shocked how good the Z3 sound for under 100, especially how clear the treble of a cymbal is. Not the best of course, but for the price it's quite impressive.

@@royarnab22 Don't worry about burn-in, we didn't experience drop-outs but that can be source dependent or even environmental if there is a lot of radio interference. You need to see if your phone actually supports aptX adaptive, very few phones actually have it at the moment.

Had a very bad experience with Lypertek Pureplay Z3 and got no support for that. The glued parts are not properly finished. The joint in one of the buds is widening, I really doubt it is a IPX7 rated product. The the sound is good but not as good as hyped. It is brighter to the extend of being little harsh and fatiguing. Lacks refinement. You can hear little glitches while connecting, disconnecting, pausing and playing. The mic is horrible. The buds are bulky and uncomfortable for long listening. The company has serious quality control issues and no customer support. They are surely not worth the price, I regret buying this. Sould have gone for time tested brands.
