Lyra Swim Unboxing + Try On || Is It Worth It???

Today I’m back with an unboxing, try on, and first impression of the Lyra Swim Sofia swimsuit. I have been debating about buying this swimsuit for a while now because of the cost, but decided to see if it’s worth it. Thank you, I have been loving it! They do have more affordable options but unfortunately they are pretty ugly lol and are still like $70 which I’m not willing to pay for something that doesn’t make me feel good 😩

So glad that you got your package, ordering online can be so nervrecking especially when not getting a confirmation mail. That's a really cute bathing cap, they should do more styles like that.

Salam i was looking for reviws on swimsuits. Lyra swimsuit looks so beautiful but the price! And also i like something that i can swim on and doesnt drag you to the button of the sea 😅. Thanks for you review

Wasalam! I am really really hoping that in the future they consider lowering their price point because I do think the swimsuit is great and it would be a shame if more Muslim women couldn’t enjoy them because of the price 😩

I agree the price is crazy! 😩 it really makes me upset that they overprice modest clothes. But I recently went through my wardrobe and sold a lot of my clothing I no longer wear and I saved that money for this 🤗

That’s horrible customer service. I do love it on you. I haven’t heard of this brand. I’m going to have to share this video with my sister in law who also needs a swimsuit like this for religious reasons. You look so great in it. Glad you can now swim with your son!!!

Surprisingly my friend ordered one a few weeks later and she said customer service was excellent for her! So I think it’s a hit or a miss with the customer service maybe. Awesome! Thank you for sharing and I hope it’s helpful for them! ☺️

Hahahaha, when I was engaged I would always want to get all cute when going over for dinner with my now husband and at his parent’s house, and my brother in laws would always decide to join last minute and ruin my plans!! The struggle is reeeeeal 🤣

I am not hajabi but seek modesty-especially at my age. Also I feel the cold of the water due to autoimmune issues. I agree the length of time to receive the order and get email replies is overlong and unfortunate. As I understand the suit comes from "across the pond." I am a senior lady, 150lbs and 5'6 and usually wear a large. It was too small and the extra large - which took a while to accomplish that exchange - fit perfectly. For the extra large Leaf body suit top-(which I loved) fit perfectly -however the hooks did not hold although they did with color I originally ordered, Sofia mink, in Large where the hooks held, but was too small, I was informed that the sizes are more to the "european fits." While the small was overall good for you Aliyyah and you looked very pretty - perhaps for the larger woman -order a size up. I hope these comments on size helps. Next - the material does look like it could easily snag but I want to wear mine in an chlorine indoor pool for regular exercise so one should take extra care to avoid rough surfaces. I thought the price for cap, suit, leggings and top was not too much. I hope the seamstresses are being paid fairly. So - in the end, though it took weeks to get an email reply I found Lyra was very honorable and I was refunded (verified with card company) for the issue with the hooks not holding - neither while I tried hooking it with suit off nor when on (I tried it on wearing thin clean cotton panties but would not wear while actually wearing at the pool). I agree - a bra (recommend a sports bra) underneath is needed. I am giving very serious consideration to buying another outfit with out the hook closure- a non body suit style but do want the wrap. The issue with color fading/changing after being in water is giving me pause. If you want to look stylish but do not want to get fully in the water due to concern of fading, would say this a good suit to look good (and not get chilly) in.

I wish they were more common because it’s actually waaaay safer to wear suits like this that provide SPF. But I do know a good number of people who have started wearing it simply because they are trying to have proper protection from the sun so maybe it will be more normalized in the years to come ☺️

Brought it in three colors. The pastel blue one, I wore it first time at the beach and the color started to change yellow. I’m pissed smh. Also the leggings snag as well so gotta be careful. It was not worth the price to me.

Omg what a horrible experience! I guess it’s a hit or miss kind of thing because I haven’t had any issues with mine. My friend said her shipping experience was excellent but mine wasn’t like I said in the video. Hopefully they improve on the quality so no one has the same issue you did!
