It's definitely based on squid games, not only the dalgona, they also incorporate the doll that kills people and the matching red outfit is reminiscent of the green uniform in squid games. There's nothing wrong with that

What I think about Cake: I love the MV, the visual of the MV is simple yet it is beautiful and fresh, which is fit with their meaningful lyrics. I love the chorus and bridge, it is so heavenly and gorgeous and Itzy nails this. Ok, so to the meaning behind the scenes: First, “Cake”, which Itzy mentioned in their Kill My Dout showcase, the upbeat and spirited song "Cake" stresses the value of being present at the moment, accepting one's uniqueness, and tackling difficulties head-on. In the song, the word "cake" is used frequently as a metaphor for the reminder: just as enjoying a slice of cake is a simple pleasure, so too should we tackle life's issues without overthinking them or letting them bring us down. What Itzy want to spread a message through"CAKE" is their empowerment and self-assurance through the song's lyrics. They stress the need of making the most of each day and avoiding unnecessary complications. They claim that when issues are tackled with the proper perspective, they can be easily conquered by comparing life's trials to a piece of cake. ITZY's song "CAKE" highlights the value of being true to oneself, making the most of the present moment, and facing challenges head-on without creating needless complications. The metaphor of a cake, which represents the notion of savoring each bite of life and accepting things as they come, serves as the song's central metaphor. The song conveys a vital message: while life is full of uncertainties, focusing on the present moment is more gratifying than getting caught up in worries about what could happen next. One might live a more fulfilling life by welcoming each day and taking on obstacles with a calm, confident attitude. Secondly, the black and yellow people that you see in the MV are represented by people on the hate train who throw hate comments at Itzy for no reason (you can see that they shoot bullets at Itzy) just because of one single comeback that they don’t like and say to my girls that they are flopping a.k.a the black people and the yellow person which is us, Midzy, as you can see at the beginning of the video, the yellow person always protect Itzy, at the first scene you can see that a yellow person who holding an umbrella for Lia and look at Lia all the times just to make sure that she is safe from the chaos and at the last scene you can see the yellow person is vibing with Itzy, they are dancing and smiling with Itzy. Throughout times Midzy will always protect, share and support Itzy at any cost. Love you girls, and hope Itzy can have a successful comeback of course hope Itzy is always safe, confident and lovely, smiling with their effort of what they are contributing and yeah hope all Midzy that are listening to this song stay safe, and healthy and support our girls. The MV is refreshing and cool at the same time. The more I listen to the song, the more i like it and I also like the bside songs of the album. They literally went back to the basics of kpop. Back when groups weren't trying to make it big in the US. It's almost EXID like with the brass, the repetitive chorus, the switch ups. A lot of the people mad at the song are fairly new to kpop whereas the ones that love it have been around for a bit longer or are fans of older kpop groups. Either way, i fkn love the song.

ITZY is a group that has not had a lead in JYP...Twice has overshadowed ITZY...and now NMIXX is overshadowing ITZY... This song is just too bland to stand out comparing to the 5th gen stuff. JYP is now in a dilemma. Add investment to ITZY a 4.5 gen that has a very small market share or NMIXX who has an open menu to lead KPOP. I've been watching A2K and the potential is off the charts with Melissa. I mean we a re looking at the voice of a new generation here. All I saw in JYP's eyes are $$$$$. The same look he had when he discovered Lily.JYP the pied piper of KPOP. IMO ITZY is near the end . Twice is in retirement and a well deserved one. New Jeans is leading everyone and that train is just leaving the station on a journey that will conquer the world comparatively the same but, way bigger than GG.
