This 2:36 was a triple entender: "I hate to say I told you all but I told you all things fall apart when the center too weak to hold y'all I'm just collecting what you owed to my old Jawn" 1) Things fall apart is the "old Jawn", the roots third studio album from 1999, so he's saying he already 'i tried to tell you then' and now I'm collecting the respect for it. 2) "Things Fall apart when the center is too weak to hold y'all" refers to the force of gravity which if not strong enough will not pull matter/objects towards the center of the force, so instead of being held together by the force, things fall away (aka apart) from the center 3) aside from the literal meaning and the metaphor in reference to the roots album, it's also a cultural/social/spiritual metaphor - if a cultural/society/individual is not strongly centered through values, structures and mechanisms for support, connections, etc), all can fall apart.

The hardest bar is about Henrietta Lacks. Double meaning "like Henry Lacks up in the cells" meaning jail cell and Henrietta Lacks cells a black women who's cell are still used today in cancer research. Henrietta Lacks (born Loretta Pleasant; August 1, 1920 - October 4, 1951)[1] was an African-American woman[4] whose cancer cells are the source of the HeLa cell line, the first immortalized human cell line[A] and one of the most important cell lines in medical research. An immortalized cell line reproduces indefinitely under specific

My man went from fully invested ready to dissect these bars to, I'm not getting all of these double entendres. Lemme just stick to the basic meaning 'cause we already know that this man goes way deeper than I can interpret. Or else it would take me hours 😂. That right there is the difference between a true hip hop MC (i.e Mos Def, Ras Kass, Cormega, Big Pun, etc...) and a rapper repeating the mandatory list of money, guns, clothes & hoes

One of the subtle bars that most people don’t catch because they are separated by a few measures - when he says “I’m the Sum of All Fears” he isn’t just flexing, there’s a movie called “Sum of All Fears” which stars…. Morgan Freeman 🤯

This is a dope reaction. Your exasperation is too funny. All of this in one take. I like a few of the lines. 1. "...headed for the web even before computers". The internet used to be referred to as "The World Wide Web". Hence the www.... 2."where people who care don't get the lions share." Billionaires compared to nurses and teachers. 3. Fat Pharaoh = Pharaoh Monche. 4. "Family and friends" was the cheap phone plan to keep families in touch with each other. 5. CB4 the movie about a fake gangster rapper. 6. Every dinner could have been a last supper. 7. I'll have you and the living a category apart. 8. Henrietta Lacks had special cells . When she died, scientists took samples of her cells for research to help cure diseases. All without her permission. 9. Panther mind made of elements you can't combine. 10. Helping rappers everywhere fulfill a death wish. 11. The sh*t for Combat is a shout to Combat Jack who was sick and dying at the time. He passed away little after this came out.
