This is just incredible. I love the film as well as the short stories by Philip K. Dick. It is awesome that you deal with these topics in your lyrics. Keep going!

I never clicked on a video so fast before, blade runner is a great concept. Please keep the series coming

Yeah, I will certainly finish up the EP when I find some more time. And as far as Blade runner is concerned, there are so many stories left to tell in that universe, hope that Dennis Villeneuve will get to direct a follow-up. Or maybe some day we get a Blade Runner follow up to Blackout 2022. I have to say though that I wasn't sure about actually writing this, because it felt derivative since there are some many bands having done this before. Yet I felt like I had to for me personally, with the franchise so close to my heart. ~Alex

Thank you for your music! I just discovered the band a month ago, and I really love it. The song Telltale Notion from The Black Wild Yonder is my favorite for now, just because the "This is not the end of the world, but you can see it from here" line :)

Haha, well maybe I will do a lyrical spotlight for that one some day. Thanks for taking the time to comment. The next video is going to be on Alter Memory though, it being the fourth song of the EP.

@@WordsOfFarewell Yes, I would really appreciate it, I love that your lyrics arent the typical melodeath lyrics, that's awesome. btw, the line from Telltale Notion reminds me of the same line from the Deus Ex: Human Revolution game trailer. :)

@@nightfall88 Haha, yeah I love hiding cultural references in songs and then expanding on their implications. Telltale Notion is essentially a whole song around the idea. That we as humans are somehow always thinking the end is just around the corner although we are continually proven wrong. Looking at history this has been the case in most cultures for prolonged periods of time. It seems to be engraved into our minds and defines our modus operandi and, these days, much of our sociopolitical framework. Well, now you know what that song is about, guess I don't need to make one for that song anymore. ~Alex

Thanks man, glad you like it. It's a tad more experimental than most our recent ones, so it really means something to us. ~Alex

My father is a huge Blade Runner fan, ever since he saw the movie for the first time back in 1982, the year it was released. And, of course, I went with him to the cinema when Blade Runner 2049 came out. But, to the best of my knowledge, he never read the book by Philip K. Dick. And a few days ago I actually spotted the book at a book store while I was coming back from work and I just had to buy it. So I intend to give it to him for his birthday in a couple of months. The thing is, I want to read it too and I'm not sure I can't wait that long! XD

Haha, honestly. Just do it, I mean why wait? You'll be remembering some of the content for years. It's been probably 7 years since I've read it and I can still memorize some of its contents. Also, if you ever get the chance to watch the original on the big screen, you absolutely should. Funny enough, my first time seeing Blade Runner was with my dad way back when. ~Alex

@@WordsOfFarewell Oh, I want to, but the lady at the book store asked me if it was meant to be a present and I said yes, so she wrapped it up all nicely and it's a shame to unwrap it. (Plus, I did try to remove the Scotch tape and realized that if I had carried on I would have ruined it.) Hahaha
