I have loved this song for years and it is so NICE to hear/listen to someone hear it for the first time and react to it like I have thought about it for so long.... however, I think that this is their best song, so it's all down hill from here (maybe)...it all depends upon you and your mind.....how about trying the song that got me hooked on Alter Bridge a few years ago.......'Blackbird' live at Wembley. Some will tell you that the lead singer, Miles Kennedy, had a cold; and his vocals where not up to scratch, but even so, I think it is the best live rendition of the song because Miles gives the reason for the awesome lyrics and a great tribute to the Beatles song of the same name.

I think Blackbird, Fortress, and The Last Hero are the only other songs that are as good as this (give or take).

@@kiwidan2271maybe, as far as technically superior song structure/ song writing composition goes?…. But they have many numerous more excellent songs and music that I often prefer over these cuts you mentioned- depending on the day and my mood. They simply make great music and albums as a whole!

@@RB-oc7ti depends what you like. One of the best things about AB is that there are numerous different things to like about them. For me, it's their blend of just enough technical elements to make the songs musically interesting (hence the songs I mentioned). For others it may be their lyrics, or how catchy/melodic some songs are. I think this can be seen in the fan base where some people like the first two albums most and others like ABIII/Fortress, etc.

Great reaction to a great song. Nice to see a fan watch this song for the 1st time and see their reaction. Yes you have a deep rabbit hole to dive into. They do have a new album out called Pawns and Kings that they are touring right now. 5 songs off of it are video singles on KZbin, could try some of them.

Great song! Great songwriting structure and delivery! Great guitar riff and work overall by both Myles Kennedy and Mark Tremonti! Myles does the intro guitar piece and the first guitar solo, while Mark does the second more shreddy guitar solo! Excellent chorus! Excellent distorted bass line! Just an all-round fantastic song by them👍

Hey JTMM!! LOVE THIS!! Idk how requests work, but for next week's FFAF, could you check out Solarus, and their song This Journey That Yet Remains? They are an amazing unsigned band from Canada, and it's the final song on their newest album. The song is an amazing literal journey. Best way I can describe them is Nightwish and Unleash The Archers had a lovechild.
