No joke. This song was stuck in my head for months after they released it last year. Almost drove me nuts, but it's one of my favorites anyway.

This was filmed by the same Czech team that did Christmas Truce. And another story that needs to be remembered for the actions of King Albert in saving his country from being overrun. Great reaction and keep rocking.

Tommy was a guest at another reactor, watching this video together with him According to him it was a long, cold and very wet day filming this. The instruments didn't survive, but were kept afterwards to be of use as stagematerial for further videos, as Joakim told in an interview. One of my favourites, due to the tempo and the catchy rhyming .

Loved this song and your reaction. This is my top 3 song from their new ww1 album. I can’t wait for when they release the history vid for Stormtroopers that will be a great reaction.

Greetings from Belgium. They sang this live for the first time at Graspop, some 100 miles from where this battle took place. It was awesome. {and yes, they also played Resist and Bite🤘}

You really should start trying my strategy in activating English subtitles on these official music videos since they usually have them. That way you can always have your focus on the vid except when you pause when you can then look at the entire song lyrics like you have always done. Luckily subtitles wasn’t necessary this time but a lot of times they are when you don’t hear the song clearly. Otherwise I really love your Sabaton reactions and as long as you always do them I’ll always be around.

Like it has been mentioned in the comments, the history episode for this song is a little lacking in detail. The assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand in Sarajevo in June of 1914 is considered to be the trigger behind the beginning of War War I. The song's title relates to the effort of both side to avoid flanking manouvers that led to the sea... King Albert of Belgium ordered the flooding of most of is own nation to keep the Germans of completely overtaking it. Side note: King Albert as become know as one of the few monarchs to actually be in the frontlines alongside his men.

To be honest... as a student of guitar. I had a difficult time following the song. I was distracted by the $$$$ in damaged equipment. I hope they had a really big bowl of rice... great song, and reaction.

The instrument got one more time shine, they were at the end off the line but I agree that it is tough to watch.

Those instruments were damaged before. They don't use new instruments for a video like this😄
@alancarter412 жыл бұрын
@@kaelynshea5533 The instruments were not damaged but were at the useful end of their life for tours and would have to have been refurbished. Originally, the band thought they could rehab them after this, but the damage to the wood was too bad. They may be sanded down and used for music videos however.

King Albert, the only one that fought with his people not only commanding them. If anyone deserted, they weren't punished because he knew how bad it was in the trenches. Instrument used in this video didn't survive but they got one more time to shine.

I've commented about this before and saw someone mention the thing in the comments here too, but I'll still bring this up again: Since the Archduke was brought up, I'd ask that if you ever do a reaction on Sarajevo (Archduke's assassination and start of the album), do it back-to-back or in a double reaction with Versailles, which ends the album with the end of the Great War. They are great bookend songs for the album but are not as great as stand-alone songs.

I was disappointed with the history episode. The song details one small part of "The Race to the Sea" and Indy gives an overview with only a passing mention of the part Sabaton sang about.
