What I love about this cover is how much homage it pays to the original. A lot of song covers change so much that it doesn't carry the spirit of the original. But everything in this one from the perfectly timed guitar harmonics to the background "yeah yeah" in the vocals to line up with the original but still give a modern tone is just the perfect balance of new with the spirit of the classic. Outstanding job.

That first verse hit and my entire body was goosebumps and ASMR shivers and I felt again, for the first time in a long time that almost sensual rush of power and imagination from back when I first heard this song and thought "how fucking sexy and awesome would it be to actually be a vampire." I mean, Lost Boys was the beginning of the "Vampires as sex symbols" genre. And started millions of us down the path of dark sensuality. And this song was our anthem. Well, this and Concrete Blonde's "Bloodletting" lol. If y'all make a cover of that I'll just fucking lose my mind.

Lyric Noel bring it with a fantastic rendition of Cry Little Sister. The main vocals are a perfect complement with the background harmonies and low frequency growls. The guitar work is amazing, with a freshened take on the original, just the right amount of tweaking to make it fit. The biggest thing is the full sound which is what this song has always been about - multiple sonic layers that just feed upon themselves and then upon your ears. Awesomeness in the fullest sense!

I've heard all of them. Grew up in the 80s, and no one can beat the original, but Marilyn Manson's was by far better than this one. Not only by sound, but he has his own unique way of doing things . Michael Emerson would be Timothee Chalemet, David would be Jack Champion, or you could flip the gender and go Zoe Kravitz. For Sam Emerson I would go Jacob Tremblay and Edgar Frog would be Gaten Matarazzo. Star would be dependent on if you gender flipped or not - Anya Taylor-Joy if not and Tanner Buchanan if not.
