We had a us militar invasion that kill thousand of civil people just to remove a dictator that was a drug lord and weapons trafficant. A lot of broken homes and injured people. The operation was called Just Cause. And today, we remember. Prohibido Olvidar.

My father spent a year in Panama as his last overseas military assignment before the Air Force pulled the plug on his career. He never spoke about what happened there or how he felt about his role flying bombing missions in Vietnam. Sorry now I did not possess the maturity or curiosity then to ask. Whether he was sworn to secrecy or personally compelled to silence, he committed suicide Thanksgiving day after 9/11. We will never outlive the loss of him.
