I will never forget the day: It was Thanksgiving and I was 6 years old. I was sitting on the couch watching the Macy's Day Parade, and the Greg balloon came on. My dad walked into the room around that time, and he went "Hey, it's Greg Heffley! He's from these books that I'll think you'll like", or something like that. A minute later, he comes back with the first DOAWK book and gives it to me. It may seem silly, but I swear my life changed that day. Thank you dad. Thank you Jeff Kinney.

Dang, this is so damn nostalgic. That first Diary of a Wimpy Kid came out towards the end of my 6th grade year, so the movie itself is instantly relatable. Makes me miss that year so much because it was the perfect bridge year between elementary and the craziness that would be 7th and 8th grades. Time to invent a time machine.

I got earworm with this dope pop jam, yo. I tell ya, first time I watched the movie it felt weird in a entertaining way a junior high schooler would view it (even though I was about to start my years of becoming a high school freshman), but then right at the ending the song popped up and it made me wanna do a lil' C-Walk or sum'n.
