I def want to try this brand but not the foundation. I just know it wouldn't have enough coverage for me lol and you could def see the differences in the sides! How the LYS one didn't look as good, so I don't blame you for not liking those products as much! Lovely in depth review ❤

So I am definitely one of the people that loves this foundation - but I also don't typically need all day coverage and my skin LOVES hyaluronic acid. Even though we had different experiences with it, your review is still super helpful to me because I will keep your thoughts in mind before recommending it to friends!!

I find that people throw around the term "dupe" extremely loosely so you don't need to apologize if you disagree.

Wow Martina, you read my mind! I just had the Lys foundation in my basket at Cultbeauty, but I decided to hold off. And then came this video. Very helpful! I can't say I'm very impressed with anything really, exept for the blush. Such a lovely color! I don't prefer cream blush, but I saw that this one did really well over powder, so that's a maybe. All the rest...well, it's okay, but actually nothing I really need. One thing is puzzling me though: why do so many people need their products to be weighty? Why does weight make it feel more luxe? Or even; why does it have to feel luxe in the first place? But that's just me, I really don't care much about packaging as long as it is functional. My beloved ABH Lash Brag mascara is very heavy for a mascara, and to me that's just inconveniant (excuse me if Ik have misspelled anything, English is not my first language). Thanks so much for this video!

Maybe its a good one to check out if you ever see it on sale etc Hahaha I wish I could tell you but I really love my packaging. For me I'm a big sensory person so I like the heavy feeling etc I can't articulate why though haha I also just love looking at pretty things, like even the finger prints on the shiny packaging drives me nuts cos I want it perfect haha 💗💗💗

Wait so the milk primer doesn’t work well with PM foundation? I’m asking because I recently got some of Pats foundation and I don’t like it so I’m wondering if I used the wrong primer. I didn’t get the pm primer because I saw in a review that it was nothing special and any primer would do, so more than likely I used my milk the few times I wore the foundation and I felt that it didn’t wear well so I don’t wear it at all and for as much as I paid I really wanna love it or at least like it so I will use it

Yeah so not from what I have found. One of the main ingredients in the Pat foundation is coconut oil or a product derived from coconut oil. I think thats what helps make that thin, liquidy consistency. And I've found when a foundation is like that it does not work well with the Milk primer. Try something hydrating or no primer at all. To be fair, I thought the PML primer was useless and then used it for like three weeks straight and fell head over heels in love. Can't tell you why but it does something lol Except that I break out real bad from coconut so I had to stop using both the primer and foundation but I love them 😢I also like the Chanel eau de tint with PML or just a pore filler through the t zone. Hope that helps 💗💗💗

@@MartinaLily ok thanks for the advice. I think I’m going to order the PML primer it’s on sale now for $30 something I think $38 on her site and try it again but ordering from the PML site takes so long maybe I’ll try using my too faced hydrating primer in the meantime. Thank you for responding

Hi Martina, you really hit the nail in the coffin. I agree with you. The foundation and the powder don’t have the desired effect in me and lack the staying power. Will finish them up but nor repurchase. Also will skip on the upcoming concealer.

You can definitely see how much nicer the charlotte tilbury side looks. The powder and how lovely the bronzer just blends and diffuses so perfectly. I still want to try lys, including the foundation and new concealer, possibly the bronzer... Def. The blush and liquid highlighter. The hermes highlighter looked so beautiful by the way. I really liked how honest you were despite the possibility of pissing people off. That's a quality beauty reviewers are losing, making it hard to trust some. At least I feel I can trust your opinion. Thank you so much, I was definitely nervous being so honest but I just can't lie about how I feel. And everyone has such different experiences depending on skin type, preferences etc so i just wanted to make sure if people vibe with my preferences this is how I felt. I still feel the brand is really worth trying especially some of the products as they are amazing but just wanted to be honest that some of them aren't holy grail etc Ugh that Hermes highlighter haha Its so expensive but so good haha 💗💗💗

Had to come check this one out because I’ve currently got the CT airbrush flawless matte bronzer in my cart waiting on the next Sephora sale and I’ve not actually tried it before so im deciding if I want to try it as a winter bronzer shade and formula for me ☺

Was looking foward to your review on LYS. I have been tempted to purchase the foundation but after this review and sounds like we have very similar skin types I think I'm going to pass. I agree the Charlotte Tilbury side with powder was way more blurring as well. I'm heavy handed with bronzer as well and prefer a more buildable bronzer. The highlighter was lovely tho. Can't wait to see the eye tutorial! Beautiful as always!

Ohh yeah if we have the same skin type for sure pass on foundation and powder, everything else is lovely though. I do prefer the CT bronzer but I really love the highlighters and cream blush. Oh its the ND mashup one I put up last week haha This video took me sooooo long to edit so I got it up beforehand haha 💗💗💗💗

I tried the LYS primer and foundation and ended up returning them both I do prefer a light to medium coverage but the foundation started peeling while I was applying it so I figured it didn’t agree with something in my skincare routine and if I had to pick between my skincare routine and the foundation….. well I already said I returned the foundation lol.

OMG ok so I had this in the video but then honestly it was an hour long so I took it out but when I used the primer and the foundation with the brush it peeled! It was my first time trying with a brush and then I took it off and redid with my sponge and it was fine. I think it might be the primer with a brush maybe but it is super odd. So glad this was not just me lol 💗💗💗

And I always start with a brush and finish with a sponge but I was getting ready for work so when I saw it peeling I just took it off and went with something else I didn’t have time to figure it out.. now that you mention it I recently heard another influencer say the primer didn’t mix well with the foundation so yes the brush added to the mixture could have very well been the problem.

@@MartinaLily He's doing much better thankfully. Nothing sucks more than a sick baby. Pure hell lol The highlighter worked exactly like you said, it was beautiful and didn't lift the base. I was interested in the lisa eldridge highlight as well but I think I'll be sticking to this one since it turned out so well! 😍
