My first used car was a 1967 Chevrolet Impala convertible. It had a 283 CID with a slip-n-slide Powerglide. Only option was power steering. No A/C, just like yours. Paul 😎

Thanks a lot! I found it on ebay, just looked for cowl induction hood and a company that makes them sells them on ebay. It's fiberglass hood. I can't remember the name of the company though.

I was pretty lucky, the car had good working gauges, so didnt really need to do anything with them, took out blinker and brake gauges and put in 4 custom gauges but gas gauge, speedometer and clock all worked fine.

The Guse i want to try and keep it original as possible. Bout to fire her up here in a few days. Just rebuilt the 283, just got the last few parts. New cam, lifters, water pump, carb, fuel pump, radiator, and tons more special work to the piston heads, valves, and much more. She’s gonna sound nasty with the bootlegger cam and an edelbrock 4 bbl 650cfm carb. Thanks!
