M & G N J Railway, Yarmouth Beach to North Walsham 6o years after closure. Part 1

The old M&GNJ Railway between Great Yarmouth and North Walsham was finally closed in February 1959. This series of videos attempts to show what is left of this once busy holiday makers line 60 years after closure.
There are several books available with descriptions and pictures of the working years of this line, which compliment these videos, some of which I have listed below.

The track at Yarmouth Beach that you said had been left there, wasn't. In 1964, when I did a survey of the station, there was no track left whatsoever. That track that's there now must have been laid recently.

What I meant was that at some point some old track had been left as a reminder, I did not mean to imply that it was original track. Thank you for your observation though.

Excellent video but Im surprised you didn't get permission and make more of Great Ormesby station, being its unique in that its still there.

@@nutmeg5032 Great decision! the programs were great, music apart. i love Honing station (program 3) in particular, so full of atmosphere. Wish a bit more remained. it feels so strange now standing in that lonely silent place to thing of the trains of holiday makers to and from Yarmouth. Such a shame we threw away our railways, what an asset they would still be!
