Theresa, Don't generalize all .. At first majority of women stood with WCC. But when they started claiming unwanted and unnecessary statements, which is quite pity and silly, majority of them started rethinking including me. Now what the situation is they themselves dig a grave by pinpointing Mohanlal who don't have a role in their proceeding. We are not asking for mutual respect. Sruthi Vishnu Amma has tested their patience right? They haven’t talked anything silly, you tell me one point where they talked silly. If its about calling them as actors then Revathi already explained it. First after the arrest when they got the pressure from outside they have dismissed him. Later when came out of jail they said we have taken him. When people questioned it there was a press conference with lots of unclear explanations, lies. Its been more than an year wcc has been waiting for a reply or action from Amma. If they haven’t again questioned even today the actor would be part of the organization!. When Mohanlal becomes the president every one had high expectations that lots of good changes will be there , but after an year too nothing happened. Amma so far hasnot understands the severity of the issues wcc is asking. In any organization the cell or a team exists where women can give the complaints and they will take the action immediately. Go through the woman safety law in work place to be implemented. Wcc just asks for ghe things that is peoples right only, nothing exceptional. We all should support them for the courage , selflessness ( by sacrifice their own career) . Usually people will be silent in this kind of things thinking it will be issue to them( that is what the young generation actors did). Only prithiviraj was an exception.

Sharun Chandran If you notice they started talking out the things in public after the bad incident happened to the women actors!! Regarding Mammotty issue , it was in an international film show when the media asked her a particular question she answered. She could be open or be diplomatic there. She openly said without fear not for her career benefit, instead for a change they really wish to see in the movies. The changes she is looking in movies is possible or how much it will influence or impact in viewers is a different question. I have few points that is different from this. But the good part is Dulquer,(in many interviews in bollywood), Prithivi, Fahad etc publicly said they will make sure in their movies the bad dialogues ( especially against the women) won’t be there!!. We all know how good and best actor Mammotty is and how well behaved person he is , how much respect he has for women!! Parvathy said it many times. You and me can be have different options about one thing, as you written here if people could write down their differences in the opinion we welcome. But what we have seen is the abuse words , trying maximum to degrade the people who says the opinion openly. This gives the lack of debate system these people have in their home, school etc. At our hone, with friends we do debate, we don’t always agree to others opinions as we have our own opinions. Sharun Chandran Before the comment came I have watched the movie at home. When i seen the dialogues i felt bad( in movies it may be there, but didn’t want Mammotty to tell these kind of dialogues). But by the end of the movie the particular character he portraits is ok for those dialogues. The character is like that. Now the question comes, how much it influence the viewers. This character doesn’t influence me or any of family or friends . After the movie its gone. It won’t influence you too.But it may influence few( those who are the blind fans who thinks what ever thier heroes does is correct,including the movie character. May be a less %. ). Her point is since the big star has the power to make the changes in the script then they should do ( only for the rare cases where the script glorify the bad action).

Nothing much to say to you people who changes the opinions in each interview, press conference. And what to tell to the media who takes their interview. The people who takes the interview too doesn’t have much knowledge about the sexual harassment law at work place or how the law is implemented in the organization. Learn from wcc members about how to talk about the issues they are trying to solve and the firm stand for the justice. They will be less in numbers but people will support them bz they stand for the right. Most of the women members in AMMA also don’t have a knowledge about the rules, laws to be implemented at work place. Let them go and talk to wcc members, get knowledge about the things they have been talking.

Jayakrishnan Jayakumar i know bz the organization I work has this law implemented and the previous organizations too. Every three to four months there is mandatory training for the employees to know about the law, how to report the issue, where to go for solutions, what kind of actions comes under sexual harassment etc. this is one type of law. There are many other activities in most if the organization that makes sure everyone gets treated equally ( including the remuneration too). Soo in film industry the remuneration difference will be an issue. WCC might have done the research on this laws, issues etc, and they might have worked with different kinds of people to get more knowledge. That is why they requested government to implement it. If you don’t know the things its ok, ( i may be not be knowing many things) but atleast have the mind set to understand the things and welcome the changes for the good. Rather you people have the mjnd set to blame others.
