In fact, the federal government has recorded budget surpluses in five years since 1969, most of them under Democratic President Bill Clinton. The last time the U.S. had a budget surplus was in 2001.

thanks simon. A question: can trump administration require/request china to substantially use up its US-China trade surplus to buy up US treasury to suppress bond yield, as a tradeoff for sanction, as least partially, that could help with US fiscal deficit?

有點覺得美民主黨是用錯方法，也沒有ready的leader。利先生怎看？別外民主黨有檢討嗎？感覺上4年前Biden當選後民主黨沒有為人才庫做什麼準備。過去四年沒有想到&行動，之後的四年民主黨會努力多少？也很不明白民主黨在做什麼，Biden都幾出名說錯話，搞到好多質疑他健康。主流想法是Biden想連任，民主黨叫不停他。但我有點不明民主黨應已很清楚比Biden出選是高危但又冇能力改變？還是民主黨其實是想Biden出選？
