Fraaie beelden. En wat dichtbij. Mooi diersoort, wat wij in Nederland niet in het wild hebben. Groetjes Jacq

Nogmaals bedankt lieve Jacq.

Thank You dear Stoil! Well, a bit more action would have not disturbed me, but I enjoyed these moments. Have a great summer!
👍 #17 Hi Andrea, sorry I'm late on this and will catch up on your other videos too. You know I love the Tanuki that you regularly capture and i pray those you do are still around and still clever enough to avoid any horrid people who trap and kill them for a bit of fur. OMG I'm spoiled for choice with all those links to your Tanuki videos. It's heart-warming to know that you are managing to get out a bit more often than in recent times, where you have been so so busy... (like me). I'm amazed how this little guy just sits there posing and how you manage to sneak into a good position to capture the uninterrupted video. Thank you as always, my special friend. 👍◕‿◕

Oh, thank You dear Jane, do not worry about watching all the videos, I am behind too! To be honest it is not that I am getting out more often, just I am more lucky than ever and in less time I see more! ^ ^ I do not reach Your levels of observation, but at present I am glad enough with these glimpses of wildlife that needs preservation of their narrow environment. Happy October to You and all the many Friends You are continuously helping!
It is certainly a beautiful animal dear Andrea. They are often blamed (I once read that) for damaging crops but they forget that humans themselves are also the cause of the destruction of crops or other beautiful nature. People are most to blame for the destruction of nature and its slow disappearance and it is not the animals. Because they, the animals that live in it, lose their habitats a lot and people often forget that. I found your footage of this raccoon very beautiful again. This one may be contemplating what he will do and obeserve the environment with his nose and eyes in the process. He also looks a bit tired The bird sounds I heard I also found very beautiful. I heard many unknown birds that I certainly do not know.. Greetings to you and your family from me, Tine

I certainly agree with Your thoughts, dear Tine! Maybe what You read about damages to crops was about Raccoons, not Raccoon Dogs (whose destructive power is far less than that of Raccoons). I actually lost my peanut and persimmon crops two years in a row because of Raccoons. This year they have already broken many branches of my persimmon tree even though the fruits are green. I know this because I put a trail camera up and it recorded a mother taking her three cubs to play in my persimmon tree because it is very low and easy to climb. The funny thing is that I have not been able to film one yet in daytime. Being an invasive alien species, they are object of elimination but I think that those who exported them from America, those who imported them to Japan, those who sold them, those who bought them, etc. should be punished. What can a poor animal do if it is born in the "wrong" Country?! It is a strange society. However, no doubt they are terrible for the farmers. Have a great summer dear Tine!

@@AndreaNature Thank you for your response back and yes I believe you are right that it was the others then. And you may also get a chance to film these should they come back into the khaki tree. Although they may stay away from you as they should not destroy the crop. Gr, Tine
