Thanks so much for this nostalgic recount of MLV amma's songs. It took me joyously down memory lane. Only you could have done this with your wonderful mastery of not only your singing prowess and the weilding of the English language with such precise choice of words and exquisite expression. I am so grateful to you for this masterpiece rendition. Praying that Mother Bhuvaneshvari blesses you always.

Fortunate to meet this great singer. My mother was a disciple of her and learnt few Purandara dasa krithis. MLV amma was super in singing dasara padas..

Yes.....true.....A Legendary musician alongside Guru GNB sir// She had a very sorrowful tragic personal life.......but never did she let down, any of her Concerts//....Her Centenary 2028 .....is fast approaching & though she died young her Contribution is Vast!.... & Present day aspiring singers , hv a lot to take from her renditions

Just cannot get over the brilliant. way in which Chaarulatha Mani presents this interesting topic ! She has chosen great examples from film n devotional music, has sung each snippet very accurately, uses appropriate words n descriptions , gives succinct background details , n enthralls us wid her marvellous diction !

After my mom I love most MLV amma and MS amma. she was favorite to my mom as well DK Pattamal . Charulatha Mani has very videozenic and photo genic with good voice and music knowledge ❤

All the songs sung by her in films are great. All should have been mentioned. I love these few too. Songs sung with MKT ஐயா, என்னானந்தம், இங்குமங்கும், அந்த நாளும், கண்ணின் மணியே(இந்த இரண்டும் இராகமாலிகை) , கூவாமல் கூவும், பேரின்பமே, மோகனா ரங்கா போன்றவை. எனக்கு நனிமிகப் பிடித்தவை.

Karpukkarasi Kaniyo Paho karkkando kadhinil paayum madhura Mozhi with Sri.PBS is one of the finest film songs.All her film songs need no mention.she was literally ruling the singers of films.

Valued this presentation on MLV Amma's Film Music. Thanks. Many a time it is said that a successful Carnatic Musician should be careful about singing for Film music as it may effect his or her Music on the Carnatic Stage. MLV Amma strode both with aplomb.

What a beautiful, concise and excellent presentation it is! Hats off to you Ma'am for this nice tribute to MLV. You have missed out a scintillating Kalyani raga number from the unreleased 1958/59 film, Magane Kel. Sung with Seerghazhi Govindarajan. Music by MSV+Ramamoorthy. Kalai mangai uruvam kandu kaadhal kondu.

There are two very wonderful songs by MLV Amma in Malayalam (there are more, but I know only these two) 1. Kanne nukaroo swargasukham - music by Dakshinamoorthy swamy in the movie Sita (1960) 2. Odakkuzhalum kondodi varum - music by Devarajan master in the movie Chathurangam (1959) You should try listening to these songs. I am sure you'll enjoy them

Greetings from Singapore Awesome Presentation about MLV amma who is a beautiful legend U did a great presentation of MLV Amma But it is rather very disturbing u hv been speaking in English U should hv avoided in English It would hv been more pleasant if this show was in Tamil Tamil is a beautiful language But later part u finally presented in Tamil Yr Tamil is very super n yr voice is super too Happy to know u hv a such a talent in singing n i envybu while u were singing china chiru kilye My humble request to u pls do in speak in Tamil Yr song Ellam Inbam was rocking Best wishes to u.always🎉
