@@wilfredojr.sayson1391 Nah, it's not 18h+ cuz you see a lot of jumps, that means he took a lot of breaks as he always do, and in between he always has a long break. So it definitely didn't take so much time.

Rough drawing estimate time: 14:05 hours Painting: 4:35 hours Here's the breakdown, I did a lot of guesswork because the clock skips a lot. This was probably done in the span of 3 days. DRAWING (in minutes) ==== Perspective layout (sketch) - 30 Front desk (line) - 10 Desk objects (sketch) - 40 PC tower (line) - 15 Drawers (line) - 5 Monitor and keyboard (line) - 10 PC Desktop (line) - 10 Front desk objects (line) - 120 Right desks objects (line) - 45 Left desks objects (line) - 45 All desks (shadows) - 60 Background desk (sketch + lines) - 30 Ceiling (line) - 10 Ground (line) - 10 Left side (sketch) and bookshelf (line) - 60 Books details - 15 Remaining left side objects (line) - 45 Background doors (line) - 20 Right and background bookshelves (line) - 30 Bookshelf objects (line) - 90 Detailing right books, sofa, board, water (line) - 115 Few drawer containers on both sides (line) - 30 PAINTING (in minutes) ==== Ceiling and ground - 15 Center desks - 135 Background desk - 20 More ceiling and right side - 40 Background - 15 Left side - 40 Lights - 10 FAQ: Q. Why? A. So I can compare my own (lack of) efficiency to a pro's workflow.

if it's 16 times the original speed you can just multiply the time of the video by the 16 and divide by 60. If you don't want to get messy with the seconds multiply that by 16 and divide by 120 then add the 2 together. Knowing how long something like this should take is probably more helpful than knowing how long each individual thing takes just because artists might be faster at certain things (this varies a lot).

He is one of my favorite illustrator. I wouldn't hesitate to compare him with Murata Yuuseke. I catch his stream whenever I can. He is rather light-hearted guy; he casually talks about anime he watched while he was on break. If you're American, you can catch his stream around early morning til mid afternoon.
if this is 16x the original speed it only took you a little over 4 hours. Well done dude, that's damn fast.

It's definitely in two point. I'm not sure if the artist eyeballed the vertical lines or not. I'd guess the artist used a ruler since he's pretty detail-oriented. I didn't see him using the vertical lines vanishing point though.

@jimmyyin857210 жыл бұрын
Rather have more detail than not enough right?
@MATTCOSSIN10 жыл бұрын
Jimmy Sin The real trick is knowing how much is enough. The "easiest" thing to do, would be to draw everything. Knowing what to leave out, takes experience and practice.
@783Kostas9 жыл бұрын
MATTCOSSIN there are people who appreciate that kind of detail.
@MATTCOSSIN9 жыл бұрын
783Kostas Yeah, they're called other comic artists. But the average reader doesn't really appreciate the extra work enough to warrant the extra work. I think it would be better time spent, by the comic artist, in making extra comics. Instead of extra details. That said, this artist is inspiring (to me as a comic artist).
@DonDarkrai8 жыл бұрын
+MATTCOSSIN what an ignorant statement, i know people who don't draw but appreciate the detail in art.. you don't have to be another artist to appreciate the detail
