Austin Butler was brilliant as Elvis. They also visited Sun Studio. Look at the the old fashioned microphone. I think they only had one day to do this. BAZ Luhrman approached them at Coachella and asked them to participate. I think the band pulled it out here especially Ethan on the drums. Sadly this track is only played over the closing credits.

Apparently, they did it in one take too. They showed Baz Luhrman and he loved it. He had personally requested them for the soundtrack, and it shows why. Their version is so uniquely theirs. I love how Damiano doesn't try to copy Elvis' voice, but does his own thing and owns it in his own way. Cheers! You should watch them sing Trastevere live in Tokyo. The footage and the sound for that is pretty professional and it's one of the most beautiful ballads they have currently.

It's difficult for a European or Italian group to join this one, but Damiano deserves an international success. Interpretative skills, unique and recognizable vocal timbre. He writes very well mostly in Italian because his native language writes real poetry. ❤ also opened a concert by the Rolling Stones. oh I love this song! if you want to watch the film for that unfortunately it's the last song in the end credits! I went to see it alone i was a little sad haha! but baz luhrmann had a crush on them at coachella a few months before . That night damiano did a charlie chapleen speech with so much charisma just before "gasoline" he impressed everyone included baz who suggested them to include a last-minute participation. they had I think 2 hours in Elvis' studio to record it! and baz was invited at their wedding in rome 🥰 but it's a cool movie and the soundtrack is RIDICULOUS ! soooooooooooooo sooooooooo goooooood!!!! 😍🤩( it's like bonnie, she asked them to be part of his album last minute too ! one you know them you can't do without them ahha)

Elvis should have sung a Christmas song but at the last moment he decided to sing this song in honoring the famous speech "I have a dream" by Doctor Marting Luther King who was assassinated 3 months earlier and with whom Elvis was a great friend.
