It’s a true story without a happy ending. He was crying at the end. This was the anniversary of the time they won San Remo and his girlfriend who encouraged him to write it was in the audience, and so an emotional evening.

Thx. In this version, the string orchestra in Sanremo enhances the emotions of the song. Actually in the other video of this, the end isn't cut off, and shows Damiano crying. The band had just come back home from a World tour. Peace.

I love how versatile they are, they can be chaotic and sexy and silly, and also being soft and intense and heartbreaking, and they always feel genuine cause they are both, and many other things ❤

La vostra interpretazione del brano mi è piaciuta molto, complimenti, quello che posso aggiungere è che Damiano alla fine della canzone era in lacrime probabilmente perchè c'era una emotività particolare e un significato personale

Great reaction! It's an amazing song, and a great performance! All the times i watch/listen to this video, there's one thing that takes my attention: Apart from the suffering expressions of Damiano while singing... it's the final moment, when he sings those last lines, the other band's crew stop playing and come to stand by Damiano's side, only with the orchestra and his voice, like saying "We are here with you, buddy. But this is YOUR moment!". Because at their shows, specially on the latest tour, they never stand up together on the front of the stage, at the end. They just go way.

Unfortunately this is not the best translation, but for sure the best performance of this wonderful song.

This song is a punch in the stomach and many people don't understand the meaning of the song: it is the story of incest, of a girl segregated at home, it is clear in the last part 'she has not known love', abused by her father 'of a father who has nothing of a father', of an abortion 'he lost the fruit of his womb', and of suicide to free himself from segregation and violence 'They told you in the city there is a castle, with walls so powerful, that if you go to live inside, nothing will be able to hit you again'... the castle is the cemetery. It's so heavy that I struggle to listen to it even though it's beautiful and I think it's one of Maneskin's best. I think this version with the orchestra is the best ever.

Stop spreading your interpretation as an objective truth! You're putting into author's mouth something he never said. In fact he said she's alive and he shared this song with her, while *laughing*. So much for a poor incest victim burried in Rome. His girlfriend literally admitted it's her and told the whole story. But it's easier to call her a liar than accept your interpretation of the lyrics is just that-- an interpretation.

@leno_o17 your comment is out of place here. The song is exactly what the person commented. And it's inspired by giorgia, dami took a lot of her and created art adding others stuff so the song would be universal. You can suffer from invisible disease, abuse, depression , anorexia, etc.. and you'll find a sentence that resonates with you. From giorgia story he created a universal story So i don't understand your answer. What annoys me the most it's the people saying it was a friend of him who probably committed suicide.it's a rumor and it's false.

Misera porta as "poor door" is a literal translation. The true meaning is actually "she can't even get through a small door" (an easy task)
@annarae239611 ай бұрын
For me, it is like "she can't even get out the damned door".
@gabriella_p11 ай бұрын
The proper intention (i'm italian) is to be translated as "a simple door" (misera means poor but in this case it is intended as "without efforts, without a lock, just a simple door, that anyone could easily open")
