I feel like now you need to check out a song like Vent'anni (watch the music video but also check out a translated lyric video/read the lyrics). They actually cross a fair range of styles, and their Italian lyrics are incredibly deep. It's also worth checking out any live versions you find because they really are incredible live. Glad you are enjoying and exploring.

They are both deep and chaotically funny, random and professional... they love duality and it shows 😂 Their masterpiece imho is Coraline, the best rock ballad in the last 10 years.

Nice reaction. I just discovered them about 3 months ago. Best young rock band in the world IMHO. They are young talented and edgy. Actually been around for over 4 years with local stardom in Italy and gradually in other non-English speaking countries. Amazing frontman, and tight band with amazing energy and diverse genres of rock, pop, hard rock, amazing ballads, and even a reggae number thrown in. My favorite English song is For Your Love, also New Song is good (and the cover Beggin’ went worldwide number 1), but even more amazing are their Italian songs. Some phenomenal ballads like Torna a Casa (with a beautiful music video) , Vent ‘Anni, and the TRUE MASTERPIECE “Coraline”……it requires special attention for those of us that don’t understand Italian , but is well worth it. I don’t recommend it as an introduction to them, the genius of the song is better understood when you have heard some of their other stuff. It needs to be listend to at least twice, once straight through without translation just to “feel” the song, then again with the English translation and a careful focus on the poetic and emotional lyrics. Enjoy the journey, for me an old rocker, I’m reminded of discovering Queen when I was young.

This song is a funny break between Teatro d’Ira vol. 1 and the next new album. As the band said, it’s a funny, ironic song against stereotypes ( drugs, to be Italians, hate for lead singer by the group..). I’m glad, reading your comment that you’ll going to explore the Italian songs. I’ll be here when it happen. Thank you🤗🔥❤️

Thank you for your reaction to Maneskin. Some information to the band and thier discography. Maneskin was formed by Victoria de Angelis (bass, 15 years) and Thomas Raggi (Guitar, 14 years) 2015/16 in Rome, Italy. They want to take music serious, with the mood: "even if you are ill, you have to attend to our practice hours". Daminao (vocals, 16) joined soon. Then they searched a dummer and found Ethan Torchio (15) in a facebook group for musicians around rome. They start practicing together and begin writing songs. (you find lots of thier practicing videos) After forming and writing some songs, they play covers at the main pedestian zone of Rome, to earn money for their first records in a studio. In 2016 they won a battle of the bands for roman pupil bands. To join the competition, they need a name and asked Victoria to shout out some nice danish words. (Victoria has a danish mother and speaks fluent danish) They choose Maneskin with the ° above the a, meaning "Moonlight". After that, they audited to the X-factor Italy show 2017 with thier first original song "Choosen" (You find this video at the X-Factor Italy channel). They finished only 2nd, but the reaction of the audience was fantastic. This earns them a recording contract from Sony Music Italy. With this contract they published thier first CD "Choosen" with 2 original songs and all the covers from the X-Factor show. One of these covers was the now charting "Beggin". "Beggin" was original perfomed in the 1960ies by the "Four Seasons". In 2007 it was picked up by the singer/rapper duo Madcon, which added the rap verses. This version was covered by Maneskin. You find an actual perfomance at the "Tonight Show (Jimmy Fallon)" KZbin channel. Than, in 2018, they published thier 2nd disk "Il Ballo della Vita", which aimed at the italian music market. The CD shoot through the roof, with 5 songs entering Top 10 in italian charts. The overall characteristics are italian language rock/pop and more ballads, but some nice english rock songs like "New Song". The Videos they made are great. Hear the "Torna a Casa" but have a translation of the lyrics at hand, because in italian, thier lyrics are much better than in english. The success of that CD gives them the influence to go more into the rock direction, this you hear on thier actual CD "Theatro d´Ira". A "must" from this CD is the sad ballad "Coraline". "In nome del padre" and "Lividi sui Gomili" are the most metal orientated tracks. You found impressive singing in "La paura del buio". A straight in you face english rock song is "For your Love". And don´t forget "Vent´anni" (20 years old) with impressive lyrics too. With "Zitti e Buoni" from this disk, Maneskin won the single most important talian song contest (the San Remo Festival) in March 2021. This earns them the italian ticket to the Eurovision Song Contest, the largest music TV show on Earth. They won it with a stellar performance. After they won, "Zitti e Buoni" and the follow up song "I wanna be your slave" charted very well around the globe. To a surprise, the cover "Beggin" went viral on Tiktok and jumps to No. 1 in charts worldwide.

The two ones you've listened are in the same music territory. The other songs are so different each one from the others; all with great production and lyrics message (specially the ones in Italian). In any case, I WANNA BE YOUR SLAVE is about a modern view of relationship where, there is no longer objectivation of the woman and men as macho and master but what that the reality is: a mix of felling and willing. MAMMAMIA on the contrary is a strong reply to the French press who "stolen their fun" accusing Damiano, immediately after their Eurovision victory, of snoring drugs (fake); a funny song as reply for pretending that anecdote was just a joke.

You should go to their completely opposite songs like Coraline or Torna a Casa… Slow, Italian and you will need the lyrics. They wrote that ones probably at 18-19 it is quite something.

This song is fun, but that's not all. This band has so much more to offer. Their energy during live performances is unmatched! I recommend "For your love " kzbin.info/www/bejne/bH6Zg2iNhbh2mdU and their cover of Billie Eilish's "Bury a friend" at Global Citizen Festival kzbin.info/www/bejne/p6KxmJqCpsp-baM. Also "La Paura del buio" kzbin.info/www/bejne/m3iQk3WPnruKja8 (you can activate Eng subs when necessary) If you want more relatable, meaningful songs check "Vent'anni" kzbin.info/www/bejne/sHmWgp2dpM1jaKs - "Coraline" kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4PRqYyeqdl9raM Both have eng subs, plus Italian sounds so poetic and their writing is excellent! You really can't find a bad song! Have fun!
