I was so lucky to hear this song live in 2018..they were the opening band in a Imagine Dragons concert in Milano.. It was raining like crazy and the singer was topless singing with the same energy as the studio version. I remember telling my wife that this band sounded hell good live. (Our wedding was the day after the concert by the way 😂)

I totally agree!! Definitely worth also reacting to the music video for this song - each band member embodies a different 'character' and it creates something so powerful about self-expression. (Some are easier to spot than others the first time you watch it! Look out for the hints they drop early on e.g. the snakes Ethan is holding, Damiano putting on makeup etc.)

This is obviously another kind of music, sound, and voice register, and I don't wanna make comparisions, but Damiano's versatility reminds me sometimes to Serj Tankian (again I don't wanna compare) in the sense that he can be raping and then get melodic and then go shouting. The changes of rythm in the songs as well.

the use of wide range dynamics is one of their trademarks - I can't think of many popular bands which master this technique as well as Maneskin...probably the Pixies. Also the stop and go and use of silence: a live cover of Alt-J's Breezeblock is an extreme example: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aXrQpKVmitGXd7s where Damiano seems to end the song standing in a crouching position for nearly a minute and then rise and starts belting at full blast the chorus. Damiano is a theatrical entity - and the whole band was born to play live (nearly all live versions are better than the studio).
