Everytime I watch a person from the US interview someone from a non-English-speaking country they start with the whole "haha, your language is SO DIFFERENT, let me try!!!" thing. It's so annoying. Yes, there's plenty of other languages than English. Wow. Congrats.

I know, it’s so unneccessary! Although I can’t help but laugh when they burst out ”wHaaTt? 🤔🤔⁉️” because the interviewers really can’t get it even close to right. They don’t try to hide that it’s completely impossible to understand and I love them for that.

i mean, they also did the language thing in lots of interviews with non-italians when they were on eurovision too. it may seem dumb or trivial to you, but i think people are just interested in other languages lol

'divo feler'." damiano, suddenly switching to italian while watching ethan: "CHE COSA?!“ (= what?!) thomas: "can you repeat?" interviewer: "devo filiar" damiano and thomas, a bit perplexed: "devo figliare?" (meaning "i have to give birth/reproduce", having a strong sexual meaning) ethan and vic, understanding that same phrase and looking around to see if they got it right damiano, in a *super strong* roman accent: "no no, non po' esse 'devo figliare'" (meaning that it surely wasn't the phrase that the interviewer meant to say) interviewer: shows them the word them: "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH" Me: dead 😂

I wish interviewers review some Italian words being adopted in the English language and their meaning like "PRONTO" and "AL FRESCO" and others that has got a completely twisted meaning from the original Italian. No fuss about the pronunciations, we appreciate the effort on talking Italian by foreigners and we take it at just funny pronunciation and the smile or the laugh we put up after a word/sentence is only to chill with the speaker out and free from a sort of frustration my occur. I find Victoria's "WHAT?!?!" very, very funny (she uses the Rome way to express herself in English) and not slightly rude as could appear if she was English native. I can only say: they are so confident in themselves and yet so humble. Very proud to be represented by them as Italian.

Just to be precise in case someone wants to know: 6:06 it's supposed to have one f, so "che schifo", it means "how gross", but it's also used when you really don't like something, kinda like "I hate it!" 5:07 just a funny thing, they heard it as "Devo figliare" which means "I have to make kids" which is why they found it funny😂
