She said p o r c a (and) t r o i a - Literally, these two words means the same thing (sow), neither one is the correct Italian word (scrofa) that is less vulgar, but both are very vulgar alternatives usually used ALONE to indicate a very promiscuous and sexually voracious woman (there are gradation of vulgarity in the names used for that -and they are a lot - and these are probably the most vulgar of them). The funny thing is that when used together, they are less vulgar (languages are funny) and are a common expletive used when someone is very angry without a guilty target to curse. Is something you could scream at the top of your lungs when you realize you lost your wallet, for example. I don't know the origin of this expletive, but "porca" is a common part of many Italian expletives, like "porca miseria" (miseria means poverty in Italian) and many others that I can't write here because they touch christian religious figures. I suppose that people who wanted to scream "porca xxxx" but didn't want to be too blasphemous began to use as the second word another word that had the same meaning of the first... Funny Fact: "t r o i a" is the Italian translation of "Troy", the ancient city, too (a fact that cause a lot of laughter when children are first taught history, and a lot of dirty jokes in Italian comedies), so imagine the embarrassing problems of translation when DC Comics decided years ago to call one of their super heroines "Troy"... 🙂 So remember, when you talk to Italian people: NEVER use one of these two words by itself. That could get you in trouble (even beaten up if someone will think that you are talking about a woman that is present), but you can use both together as a expletive (I don't recommend doing it anyway, if you are not sure that you will not botch the pronunciation of one of them)
