Thanks for the reply, and the excellent product. These are, hands-down, the best looking light kit for the modular bumper open slot. These look absolutely OEM, and I have already had some great compliments from my local Bronco friends that have seen them in-person. Keep up the great product support and happy holidays to you as well!

Been very pleased with them. For such a small form-factor, and blending into the vehicle so well, it is amazing how much light they put out.

You’re very welcome! Still 100% satisfied with these - they just look so nicely integrated, love the DRL feature, and lots of light output.

Nice video! Merry Xmas, thank you. I bought the rough country fog lights for my bronco and I love them. I don’t have the amber light feature though.

Informative video so thanks for sharing ✌🏼👍🏼 The website and the lumen output shows these are for “off road use only” and probably not street legal.

Correct. The white lights are not legal for street use. You can use the amber DRL feature on streets.

Thanks so much for the video! Is it possible to run the Amber into daytime constant running lights so as not to use another one of the aux switches?
@jeffiovine4577
@jeffiovine4577 Жыл бұрын
It is. But if you tie them to the daytime running lights, they will not be on in the evening/night, because the headlights coming on turns off the daytime running lights. Similar issue with parking lights (which would probably be a better choice than daytime running lights) - the amber lights would only illuminate whenever the parking lights were on. That is not a bad solution, but the parking lights do not come on when the daytime running lights are on during the day. I personally like having the amber lights on during the day with my daytime, running lights, and of course, like them on at night when the headlights are on. The only way for that to happen is to power them independently on an aux switch. If they are powered on an auxiliary switch, they will illuminate any time the aux switch is on and the car has its engine running or is in accessory mode (one push of the start button without putting your foot on the brake). If I get other lights with amber backlighting, such as ditch lights, or a light bar on the roof or bumper, I will also tie those amber lights to the same aux switch, because they do not use a lot of power. So you can reserve one auxiliary switch to run all of your amber backlighting. That would still leave five switches to power, a lot of light sets, and a winch.

@@jeffiovine4577 mahalo!! I super appreciate this information. I’m trying not to be a hoarder with the aux switches 😂 I am happy to know about the ditch light option too!! I love Amber’s period and have the 3 radial ones on my grill so far which went into the fuse box and just bought the amber backlit bronco letters from Oracle as well.

@@contremelodiagomez8785 You’re very welcome! Yeah, the ambers look very cool. A few manufacturers now offer the option for an amber “backlight”. Now that I am hooked, it is the only type of light I would get.

Great video. Do you know what the white box under the skied plate is? Particularly between the 2 accessory brackets? I am looking to install these lights and a hidden winch, which would go there.

Awesome. I have gone down the rabbit hole looking at Diode Dynamics, Baja Designs, and Morimoto for my Black Diamond. These throw a ton of light though, so maybe these are the best option? I do have one question: once you put the lights on, how much work was involved in aiming them? Did they just bolt on in the right position or did you have to fiddle with them a bit?

I had them pretty much in “the ball park” when I mounted them on the bumper, due to getting them as visually parallel to each other as possible. Once on the car and powered, I then backed my car about 20 feet from my garage door, and while laying on the ground under the bumper and look up at the lights, I did my final adjustments. Basically looking up from below, it is easy to see if they are parallel to each other horizontally, and apply pressure to the back of each light pod housing to make them all parallel horizontally. I then looked the lights from the side, with my eye at the same vertical height as the lights, and made sure they were all parallel with each other vertically. Getting them all (the faces of the pods) parallel horizontally vertically to each other, and the hottest spot of the light aligned on the garage door, worked easily. I probably spent 10 minutes max per side “tweaking the lights”. The nice thing about these is that they are more a flood, than a spot. So once they are all aligned pretty well as described, they have a really nice broad area they illuminate. They really put out A LOT of light, at 16,000 total lumens. The nature of the beam makes the aiming less critical due to the wider angle of each individual pod. I will combine these with some Spots, probably 2 total, on the bumper, for a combo effect of wide awesome flood and 300+ meter central spots. Once I get that set up, I will post a video as well. I am waiting on some Morimoto XRGB headlights too, which have twice the output of the factory headlights. Those are so bright, I may not need the “spots” when run with the M&R Fogs. The M&R Fogs are seriously bright and truly flood about 45* left to right and out a good football field with tons of light. You can see this in the video pretty well.

@@jeffiovine4577 Wow, thanks for the thorough response. That makes sense and good to hear that the lights are (relatively) easily adjustable once they are installed. I am currently looking at the brands I mentioned before and I want the fog pattern (wide and low), but after seeing these in a flood pattern, I may want to go that route. I want to be able to see the sides of the road at night, not only close to me, but way up ahead. We have a ton of deer and moose up here in Vermont and you need to be able to see those glowing eyes a long way away to slow down in time when you are traveling at 50-60-70mph. The factory headlights do a good job, but they have a very narrow and low beam pattern with both low beams and high beams.
