This is the most honest person who really discusses the truth. Look at the way he is courting this mortgage agent, because she is insisting to buyers. But this man destroyed her logic

Mortgage agent - Don't look at sticker price, just look at monthly payment... We are going back to the era of 2021-22 thinking.

These measures announced by the government will benefit builder lobby only. It is going to have very bad impact on buyer who will be liable to pay more amount and for longer duration of time, with only advantage of getting into own property. Otherwise at this moment in time Canadian housing market is still overpriced as compared to the economic conditions of the country. Inflation is just the comparison of today’s price with a year ago, so if last year anything was unaffordable how can it be affordable today with no extra income source. So real question for Canadian should be affordability rather than mortgages, interest rate and inflation. I personally feel Liberal government is knowing not addressing these issues because of business lobbying.

Now the Builders will price their singles/semis upto 1.5 m and sell at higher price the same sized houses which earlier they were pricing at 1.0 ml. Here Amrita is becoming too much optimisitc and unnecessarily raising expectations among the first time homebuyers from the builders. This change is actually is another trap for the people who are looking for dwellings. Even townhouses prices may jump to 1.5 ml because people will take home debt to bigger size. There will be more paper frauds in the market. The govt could intervene to make the homes affordable whereas they have already accepted the rising home price and fraudulent behaviors of the investors. This change will make homeowning more unaffordable and the risky investments. When somebody could not afford 1.0 ml at 20% down with payroll of 100,000 annum, how will he afford 1.5 ml house at 5% down. WIll pump in more Paper Fraud.......Paper Fraud..........Paper Fraud. Nothing Else. Jas Buller anaylsed in a better way.

Investment in real estate should be taxed highly to discourage investors and all mortgage approvals should be audited to curb fraud

Many people spend their entire lives working hard to increase their income, only to end up purchasing million-dollar homes at high interest rates, losing sight of the joys of life. Their years are consumed by paying mortgage after mortgage, with much of their hard-earned money going toward interest and property taxes. It’s unfortunate that even when someone has a four-bedroom home, they often feel the need for a five-bedroom one, even if it means increasing their mortgage by 30%. This is part of a relentless cycle-a rat race driven by competition and a desire to showcase wealth. In contrast. One of the reasons canadian white people in healthier and more balanced lifestyles and also take more vacations and experience less financial stress is because they avoid overextending themselves with excessive mortgages.
