দেয়ালের ওপারের কথা আজ ভাবতে গিয়ে, মনে পড়ে গেল এক বাগান, সাজানো আলো দিয়ে। জায়গাটা পৃথিবীর অপর পারের বিনহাংটাম, এটি আসলে নিউইয়র্কের একটি শহরের নাম। এই শীতে ওখানে সাদা বরফে ঢাকা পড়েছে সব, ঠিক মাস দেড়েক পরে বরফ গুলো সরে যেতেই, শুরু হয়ে যাবে আনন্দের উৎসব, অনুষ্ঠান আজব। ঠিক যেন সেটা অনেকটাই রূপকথার গল্পের মতন, আলোর প্রজাপতি, ফুল, ফড়িং দিয়ে সাজানো বন। বনে গাছে বড় বড় ব্যাঙ মূর্তী হয়ে বসে বা দাঁড়িয়ে, পেঙ্গুইন গুলো মুখ বুজে সব রয়েছে যে স্ট্যাচু হয়ে। সাগরের মাছ হোক কিংবা ছোটো ছোটো পিঁপড়ে, সবাই রঙীন, আলোময়, কেউ কেউ ডানা নাড়ে । টিকিট কেটে, মিউজিক শুনে, বেড়ায় মজা করে, নানান লোক আসে সেথা দেখতে এসব ঘুরে ঘুরে। ভাবতে গেলেও কষ্ট হয়, ভারতের কথা মনে পড়ে, জ্যান্ত জীব ছেড়ে,এসব দেখে লোকে আনন্দ করে ! হয়তো এর মধ্যে আছে কোনো ভালো মেসেজ, পরিবেশ রক্ষার কথা আমাদের ভাবা উচিৎ আজ।
