Bello tren y vagones what a nice composition between music and trains. Big fun since 2023 I have not seen other video of yours like this. You should do more with music

Difficult to find royalty free music that fits a given topic, for example, I would have preferred to use some Wagner or some 1920s German variety music for this video, but anything I picked got flagged for copyright by youtube, so I had to settle for the 1812 ouverture from the youtube audio library... But I'll bear in mind for such time the channel pays enough for a subscription to a music service 😉

Wonderful video Mr. Rail! The entire montage was excellent, including the glorious music, black and white footage, Art Deco posters, and your “drone” camera work. Well done!

Nice surprise, beautiful and nicely complemented by the music and footage. Truly the art of elegant travel! You will have to add music credits to 😀

Hi, very nice train and nice ride, keep doing this kind of video. I think you would like to know something I read recently about the Rheingold, it explained that the regulations required a baggage unit between the tender and the first passenger coach, this was intended to reduce noise and smoke. Also, it said that frequently they put two baggage unit, one at each end in order to reduce time when changing direction. I thought it is a nice piece of information. Regards.

Yes, the pictures of the prototype show this too. With this set, Märklin wants you to "break" the regulations and put it at the back as the luggage car has taillights.Thanks for sharing :)

Around 2000 there was a train set with a green S3/6, four passenger cars and two luggage cars. I read somewhere that the second luggage car was added together with a new locomotive at a station that required a change of direction.

I absolutely love this. May I ask, how do you run the lights in the carrages? I run approximately 1960s 70s 80s marklin analog. Is there a way to run this fully lit in analog?
@The3rdRail Жыл бұрын
It is running in analogue. The coaches have actory fitted interior lighting and curreny conducting couplers, there is a pickup shoe on the luggage van

Another question. This series of carrages and brakevan. Thanks for answering my last question. Can I take out the end couplings and replace them with relex couplers? So to be clear, that ski you said is in the brakevan... this powers the we table lamps, and brakevan and all interior lighting? (In analog)
@The3rdRail Жыл бұрын
yes, the interior lighting for the rake of coaches is powered by the pickup shoe under the brakevan. It is distributed using current conducting drawbars inserted in current conducting NEM style coupling pockets fitted to all coaches. The front coach has NEM pockets at both ends, one is current conducting, the other isn't, and is the one in which you could fit a relex style NEM coupling head if the provided short coupling doesn't work with whatever locomotive you have.

The wheels on my Rheingold set became corroded after storing in the box untouched for a few years (may be 10 years). I wondered are these wheels made of zinc alloy that got deteriorate because of zinc-pest?
@The3rdRail3 жыл бұрын
Hi, not sure about this one, but I don't think the wheels are made of the alloy that gets zinc pest. (mazac rot). Thanks for the visit.
