There must be like a million containers with Maersk on them in the world? Awesome video, thanks for making it. Have you encountered any rough seas yet? How did she handle it being the worlds physically biggest ship? Not sure of she is the heaviest?

Not the biggest at all: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_world%27s_longest_ships im not trying to put you down. ;)

Johan Nissen The Triple-E class is the largest class of container ship out there. Not far behind the largest ships of all time, such as the Seawise Giant.
@TheChiefEng10 жыл бұрын
You can call it the largest ship in the world today by size (not DWT) since the ships, that were previously larger in size, have all been scrapped. They do not exist anymore so that makes the Triple E Class the largest ships in the world by measurement (Length). There are ships that are wider but not longer. With respect to weight then in DWT the super tankers still rule supreme.
@DylRicho10 жыл бұрын
TheChiefEng Precisely.
@marksapollo10 жыл бұрын
TheChiefEng That was my point, she is the largest ship AFLOAT TODAY. But I suspect some cruise ship will be built that's bigger, one day.

This is brilliant!!! I love it....BUT...could you possibly post a second version with the natural sounds of the wind, the sea, the engines, the port facilities etc? It would be much better. Someone else's idea of good music is always very subjective and personally I have to watch it with the volume down as the music is just distracting. What a pity to miss all those delicious ship and sea sounds. Please, please please consider my request! :-)
@calimero42110 жыл бұрын
Most of this very nice documentary is made of time lapse photography, which means no sound was recorded unless Yaroslav had another camera or recording device. And "real time" sound synced with time lapse video (ie: ultra fast) might feel odd.
