ചേട്ടൻ സൺറൂഫിന്റെ കാര്യം പറഞ്ഞപ്പോഴാണ് ഓർത്തത് 1986 ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ രാജാവിന്റെ മകൻ എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലെ ഗാനത്തിൽ മോഹൻലാൽ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന Honda Accord ആണെന്ന് തോന്നുന്നു അതിൽ അന്ത കാലം തന്നെ സൺറൂഫ് AC digital clock മുതലായവ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.ആ പാട്ടിൽ അംബികയുടെ കുട്ടി സൺറൂഫിന്റ ഗ്ലാസ്‌ തുറന്ന് നിൽക്കുന്ന സീനും ഉണ്ട്. ഇതൊക്കെ അന്നുമുതൽക്കെ ഉണ്ടോ എന്ന് ചിന്തിച്ചു പോയിട്ടുണ്ട് 😁.

🚘 Altura അരങ്ങൊഴിഞ്ഞു പോയ പഴയ Balenoയുടെ Estate Version ആണെങ്കിലും വാഹനത്തിന്റെ അഴകളവുകൾ എല്ലാം കിറു-കൃത്യം തന്നെ എന്നതാണ് ഇതിന്റെ ഡിസൈൻ മികവിന്റെ ഏറ്റവും പ്രധാനമായെരു കാര്യം. ഇപ്പോഴും റാലികളിൽ പല പ്രമുഖർ ഉൾപ്പെടെ ഉപയോഗിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന പഴയ Baleno അക്കാലത്തെ ഒരു ഗംഭീര വാഹനം ആയിരുന്നു. എന്നാൽ പെട്ടെന്ന് തീർന്നുപോയ മധുരമുള്ളൊരു മിഠായി കണക്കെ, ഇന്ത്യക്കാർ കാര്യമായി ഈ വാഹനത്തെ സ്വീകരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോളേക്കും ഈ വാഹനം ഇവിടെ നിന്നും പടിയിറങ്ങിയിരുന്നു.
