MS was always at ease with simhendramadhyamam and it shows clearly in her alapana. Niraval was another of her strengths. The final round of niraval, with karaikkudi mani pitching in, was exciting, indeed. Planning was so good that was time for a meaningful tani avartanam also. A good archive of vintage music.

Videography in the 70s: they rarely showed karaikkudi mani when he was accompanying the song! Vinayakaram is seen whenever the camera turns to the violinist. I wish the audio and video can be made to sync.

Istill remember the concert by her During Science Congress in Inst. of Science in Bangalore. She sang Nava Rasa Canada and Nehru who was present to listen to her had to go to Ingland to attend Commonwealth Conference and flt. was waiting to the Hindusthan Airport But he sat thr the concert. It was devine rendering. It was once in a lifetime rxperience.

This is Doordarshan concert was shot in late 1970s at Chennai Studios of DD since DD came to existence in Chennai nee Madras only on 15th Aug 1975 and thereafter came to Bangalore. In fact Nehru passed away in May 1964. Therefore this assertion is completely wrong.
