Máté is normaly an incredible singer but just as not every cut of clothes is made for every body shape, not every song is made for every voice type. This song is: #1-too high for him #2- not made for the sort voice he's got. He has a breathy, resonating voice and the song just hasn't ben written for such a voice.

This man is simply awesome, but this just isn't his song. I have heard lots of other songs from Máté which were sung a thousand times better than this, but still, I give him credit too. His accent is beautiful :)

Ist nicht sein Song, aber eigentlich: Hauptsache Maté singt, das genügt mir im Grunde schon :-) Aber seine wirklich geniale Stimme kommt hier nicht wirklich zum Ausdruck... macht aber nichts, gibt hier ja auch genug extra-geile Videos von ihm.

No, belive me, you're not alone. I also think that he sings this song terrible, though I like him as 'der Tod' in Elisabeth. The role of 'Jesus' is just not for his voice, imo.
