You rock that thing out!!! my grandfather was an audiophile before I knew what an audiophile was. He had a music room where he would rock out and have parties with dancing. This music brings back some of those feelings. Thank you.

Damn it… I’m trying so hard not to buy this plug-in, but every video I see of it makes that harder and harder… I already have so many mellotron sounds through Arturia and Omnisphere, but this plug-in has captured something special. Great video and great performance!

This is such a great upload...and there was also the Chamberlin, (made in the US by Harry Chamberlin), who's sounds had less compression, and where (reportedly) more reliable...................

Marius, you did a great job. A good presentation, with good examples. I liked hearing. Fantastic instrument, the Mellotron. When you listen to the old albums of the Dutch band Earth and Fire, you immediately recognize that instrument. Same for Heart and Emmerson Lake & Palmer.
@JohnLRice2 жыл бұрын
😎👍 Although ELP only used a Mellotron a few times live played by Lake to try to recreate Abaddon's Bolero but it didn't work out well. I'm not sure about Heart's use.

That ‘groove‘ at 0:56 … :D I guess they did the right thing firing the rhythm section and building the M400.

Very nice! For those that don't know: All Mellotrons were "invented" by copying and making some improvements on the basic design and technology of a "stolen" copy of a Chamberlin Music Master 600 instrument. (a Chamberlin salesman took a sample to England and sold it as his own invention, what a jerk!) The Chamberlin was developed and patented by Wisconsin inventor Harry Chamberlin from 1949 to 1956. There are good WIKI pages for both Chamberlin and Mellotron to read the details.
