M-vave Chocolate was amazing product. I definitely will buy new edition - but there is only one big cons: first edition of Chocolate had issues with bluetooth signal because of shielding internal antenna with its metal body. Does chocolate plus solved this issue? I did external antenna mod for my own old chocolate (just solder old wifi router antenna wire to the antenna on its board) and it works great after this modification.

@@EhrosmithTV Essentially the version one cannot establish Direct Wired-Only communications with devices over the USB-C port (such as an old lightning iPad connected to a powered hub running Loopy Pro) . Version One only connects via Bluetooth. That's why they rolled out the Plus. Did you mention that in your Version One tutorials? If so, which one? Thanks!

The multi-effector were different, but I had the same problem. This seems to be because multi-effector devices that were not originally designed for USB MIDI are recognized as connected only when power is supplied through USB. I think it can be done with its own built-in battery, but I don't know why it was made like this.

I have a few questions, I use 2 keyboard arrangers (Korg Pa4x and Korg Pa5x). The arrangers have midi in-out-thru jacks but also usb. - Can you tell me if I can control them with this Chocolate pro midi controller? - Can I use the wireless version to control these arrangers? - Can I use 2 controller pedals with different settings on the same midi wirelles to control the arranger? , but on both arrangers simultaneously? Got this controller. Little bit disappointed, because I thought the advanced mode 2 can handle multiple steps. So 1 command on the first step, a second stepping on the same switch. But there is only a single command to setup. Why? I wanted to use the banks and have the features like on advanced mode 1.

I tested matribox. In the case of a multi-effector that receives MIDI signals through a USB cable, like Zoom. Host mode works only when charged through a USB port. It appears that the host function does not work with its own battery. It's more stable than the previous model because it's wired, but I'm worried that constantly charging it will cause damage to the battery. If it can be resolved with a firmware update, please update.

i have found a fix. chocolate needs to be USB powered so it will work with Valeton GP100. If battery mode, the foot switch will not detect the midi values. Can you fix this in future firmware updates?

@@M-VAVE I just discoverd this to be true (after much experimentation). You MUST plug in power into USB C of the Chocolate Plus when using host mode. No MIDI messsages are actually sent to the host device (e.g. a synth) unless power is supplied to the footcontroller in this way. This is unfortunate - why can't the battery power be used?
