Mōvi Pro + Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 4.6K G2 Setup

This is a quick setup that I use with the Mōvi Pro and Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 4.6K G2. Although I have done this setup with a follow focus, I was not using it for this shoot.

***Obviously there are many ways to set your rig up so I'm not saying this is the best, just what worked for me with the gear I had. I'd be interested to see if there's any better recommendations as to a better setup with this camera.

Is the movi pro powerful enough to handle this load at all cases?

How long does the build last? I noticed you’re drawing power from the MOVI. Also, what SSD adapter are you using?

Be interested in this too, and rough times for set - up / ease of balance etc. Looking at something like this for a shoot on Friday.

@@Ed.Mantle It depends how familiar you are with the gimbal but over all I think it's relatively straight forward to use. Straight out of the box, when you build it for the first time it will take a little getting used too, you'll want to play around with it a bit to see what settings/attachments are most comfortable for you. Once you use it a handful of times it becomes second nature. I would say my first time building and balancing it took me 20 - 30 minutes... maybe more but that was just because everything was new to me and I was figuring it out for the first time. Now that I've used it a fair amount I could setup and balance in under 10 min, maybe less.

How long does a battery last while powering the Ursa ?

Honestly I've never ran the batteries all the way down to the point where the gimbal runs out of juice. I had the 2 MOVI batteries hooked into the gimbal with the URSA powered off of D-tap and it lasted in my estimation an hour, maybe more sometimes. This was pretty consistent use, but occasionally I would shut it off. I couldn't really give you an answer for continuous use though. I will say those MOVI batteries are pretty good and last awhile.

Complete noob here, how are you running the battery? What cable is connected to where?

It's a D-tap connection from the gimbal to an XLR that goes into the camera body.
