We were resellers for almost 15 years in the uk. Something made us succesful was specialising in obscure things. One of mine was engineering measuring tools. A mate did collectable padlocks. It means people you know in the trade will keep am eye out and buy for you. You cant be everywhere. When you know a subject well it is a super power and leads on to other things.

Where is this car boot sale ? I am trying to get into that for ages and i got some really good product which i think will sell really good , i initially wanted to a normal car boot sale but because i mostly sell electronics i am worried about the rain, most of my items are sealed and include: electric toothbrushes, pc power supply , vacuum sealers and many more ! Do you think i should give this a try ? Can you let me know please ?

you have a better class of boot sale down your way, lucky if I can find £50 proffit a week up here. I diversified into auction rooms 7 years ago , even then it just covers the rent on my unit ( and thats stupid cheap) and my van.... Lucky I have a fulltime job and another side hussel..... Thril of the chase is stil just about there.

My "Gem" wqas an Ariston RD40 turntable with a SME 3009 tone arm ... £5, flipped for £350 but that was 20 years ago.. and anything i do now my tax man takes 40% so the effort is getting less worth it.

I see you buy a lot of electricals what percentage are faulty ? And the faulty ones is it a case of kust selling at cost to try get your money back? I stopped buy electricals a while back from bootsales as lots faulty

Maybe 10% are faulty and tbh most sell for a slight profit as spares or repairs on eBay. Allot of the items can be broken down into parts that are sometimes worth more so it’s not the end of the world just frustrating 👍🏻

It’s horrible 😂 we all hate the scenery there but it’s a nice stable one when it’s raining. But good news is it’s moving soon to a new location that has better undercover and grass standing area 👍🏻
