If you are getting the 24gpu 14 inch device, I would be super interested in some long running graphics tasks and the thermal behavior. I am suspecting the bigger heat sink but reduced gpu core count to yield better performance that the fully fledged mmax edition

So my man, all I do is surf the net, emails, Lightroom/photoshop, was thinking of M1 Pro 16” 10core - w4 GPU, 32gb unified Memory plus 512 ssd as I have two 4TN external drives.. good enough for a hobby photographer ?

That's a great config for your use case and will last you a long long time. Even the M1 base model is more than enough for your workflow. For Photography the Ram is more important so 32GB is a great future proof choice. So yes to answer your question it's more than good enough 😎

Great video man, I love the graphics and animations. Keep it up. I went with the 16" 32GB 32 GPU Core 1TB model even though I don't do much other then some coding but ill be using this for years so I went ahead and just went balls to the walls with it. I am not worried about over specing mine.

The 64 ram is way better should of gone with 64 instead of 32 and 2T

@@MarS-dc2qx Thanks but myu old mac had 8GB and I didnt came close to using it most of the time. I used to also have 128GB storage so 1TB should be good. I have plenty of external hard drives and stuff I use for backing up and other stuff.

There is an error in the recommendation for photographers, 16 ”M1 Max / 16gb / 1TB at US $ 2,699, you mean Pro not Max 👍

For Video Editing not much difference, but for 3D work and intense graphics you will get more FPS for sure.
