Hey Jason, nice video. I notice you are also a big fan of the MotionVFX and you own loads of plugins like me. It would be really really helpful for us if you can do a motion vfx filled project (titles, transitions, generators etc, with background rendering off) in realtime, so that we can compare how the new chips help with these tasks. I am not talking about exporting. People on yotube keep comparing exporting speeds a lot but I am more interested in the process of working on a timeline itself! It woulbe be fantastic if you could do that!

I have been wading through people benchmarking the M1 max and showing off their unboxing videos being rendered in Final Cut lmao. I’m glad I found your channel because this is exactly why i would pay 4 grand for a laptop - to make motion graphics. Not trying to make Avatar! Just some intro stuff animating logos and dope effects.

Great video Jason, a tiny bit of editing in terms of speeding up or cutting the fluff wouldn't hurt for me. But then again your audio setup/voice is very pleasing to listen to haha!

I just purchased the motion 3D tracking Fx and I have a 13” MacBook Pro M1 maxed out that I purchased about 6 months ago. Anytime I try using the effect, I get the spinning ball and wait 5-10 minutes and end up just force quitting. I’m starting to think that I’ve just wasted my money. Any suggestions?

Sorry Josh. I just saw this message. I hope you got it sorted. I'm no longer working at MotionVFX, however you should watch some of the tutorials on their channel as they have A LOT if you're still in need of help. A little education on mTracker 3D goes a very long way.

Unfortunately not. However all going well mO3 should be out sometime mid 2022.

I have an iMac 3.1 ghz core i5 with 4 gb graphics and 40 gb ram. When I run MO2 in FCPX, it slows down so much it's almost unusable. But it runs pretty smoothly in Motion 5

Jason, Great video. I believe you helped me with a question a few months back. It is good to put a face to a name. I ordered the same exact M1 Max configuration that you did. I was running rosetta to use mo2 in motion and it doesn't seem to be working now. I have a M1 Max chip and my iOS is Sonoma 14.2.1 (23C71)

It doesn't anymore. It seems Apple put an end to the Rosetta workaround. However I've heard MotionVFX will have mO3 out sometime. Hopefully in 2024.
