Good video Mike. Dual vlogs are tough on a lot of Bluetooth systems as well. Good to see there is a cheaper option out there than dropping $400 on a pair of new Senas. Good job!

Excellent review Mike, I'm thinking about getting the Sena for Brenda and myself, just because I know that's pretty much what everyone else is using and it would come in handy if you're meeting up with other Moto Vloggeers, and should be fairly simple to connect with them, good job brother 💯 🤜🏼🤛🏼

Good review Mike. I have a Geva headset.... I don't like the fact mine has an adhesive pad for velcro to stick to the helmit. I'm getting a new helmit soon and don't want the adhesive crap on it. I am definitely gonna keep these once in mind

I've tried soldering those headphone wires before and never had any luck either. It seems like there are a handful of things working against that unit - the proprietary connectors seem like a pretty big annoyance.

I mean they work fine, it is nothing big but the shouldered charge cord is a concern, I have misplaced one of the 2 already after 4 months. If I realized up front I would have paid more attention and labeled the cord.

Thanks, I have never had a Sena but may try one, I am starting with cheaper units and working my way up. Yeah we had our First Frost Warning this morning, I'm going back to the armored Flannel but looks like Leather weather is here..

Thanks you answered a lot of questions probably should have watched before I ordered the FX6 2 pack but I think it will work fine I am not going to be making U tube video's yet. Please always wear a helmet I've been riding along time wrecked several times and the first thing that hits the ground is your head I had a 3/4 helmet wrecked and hit face first broke my nose once on the highway with a full face helmet and ground the chin guard down glad it wasn't my face I always road with the thought I am never going to wreck but you know the old adage there's two types of riders those that have wrecked and those that are gonna wreck anyway you don't need somebody preaching to ya stay safe brother.

Hey Mike, maybe this has been answered, can you bluetooth music from your phone and have communication with riders at the same time? Can others listen to the same music as what you are streaming?

As I recall you can be listing to music via Bluetooth and then press the intercom button to talk to riders and the music is muted, if you are listening to music and some talks to yuou it mutes the music, I don't think there is anyway other can listen to you music. Hope that helps.

I think the shoulder on the charging cable is so you can charge while using it and it makes it rain proof. I have a Freedconn R1plus it works pretty good but I reset the wifi password to 3 chars instead of eight. It let me save it but when I go to connect it to my phone the connect button in the app won't work unless there are 8 Chars entered. But it won't connect with the original 8 Chars, so now I can't use the app to change settings or operate the camera. It still works but I'd like to use the app.

That maybe why but with like 20 hours of run time I really don't see charging it while using it as a much used function. Does your Freedcon record Audio from intercom conversation when recording video also?

@@RidingintheOzarks I don't have another 1 to see if it does. There is nothing in the manual about it but it not very informative. I have figured out stuff that it never mentioned. It doesn't record the music from the FM or the bluetooth (at least I haven't figured out how yet). I know it doesn't use the mic that plugs into it for recording video. There's a built in mic somewhere. The manual doesn't say anything about that either. But it works for making & receiving calls.

You would be able to do single live voice vlog, just can't capture both riders voice, that correct?

You will still need a separate mic and recording device for a vlog, I was going to use my Gopro and mic for my audio then just add the audio from the Comm Unit as a seperate audio track. I was able to do this with the Cardo but my audio still comes from a separate source besides the comm.

Is there any way of soldering an ear hook type headphone instead of the little speakers? I bought a set of m1s pros and half helmet adapters but they hurt my ears after several hours of riding. I’m going to order a spare set and see what I can do

I synced it to a Lexin unit using Universal pairing without issue. I believe Fodsports claims to sync with other brands that support universal pairing, so assuming the Cardo or Sena model you trying to connect to support it then it should work. How well I can't say I don't have a Cardo or Sena unit to test with. I have a friend with a SENA and will be testing that when it warms up.

I wish these smaller brands would hop on the Mesh system already. Mesh is just too good to ignore and why I'm probably buying a Sena. Still undecided.

Warning I hear Cardo and unclear and another company are working on Mesh that will work together, last I heard Sena was not playing ball. I have been testing Cardo out the last year also

@@RidingintheOzarks Cardo wants big bucks for their mesh, Sena wants the same $188 for cardo’s freecom x2. I’ve found a no name brand that sells a mesh/Bluetooth for $100, I’m thinking about trying it and if it sucks I’ll just return it.

I think Speaker quality for Music is okay at best using bluetooth headset. I don't use them for music I use them for communication and it was good for that.

I also tried a lexan in same price range and prefer the Fodports. I haven’t tried more expensive ones yet but yes I think it is a good product and would recommend it still.

I use the lexin B4FM now for 2 years. Good unit never let me down. Looking at a change. Is the fodsport sound better then the lexin. Looking at the fx8 or the ms1 pro. What's your thoughts.

I believe the mic and headphones were tied to the d=same connector but you might be able to cut it or just place it out of the way and not use the mic.
