It’s based off Blackwater in the 00’s when magpul was really all the junk there was, aside from KAC.

@@megacluckcluck2302 Troy industries had already produced picatinny rails by then, aimpoint and surefire red dots were already being distributed on gooseneck mounts for M16A4's and M4A1's by then. If anything the LACK of even red dot ×1 reflex sights on these is the least realistic. The M4 carbine they have should at least have an aimpoint, and the AK-101 should be a AC-556 at the least.

It's a game calm your tiddies. From a game design perspective they don't want to give every infantry gun different reticle sights, some shit gets iron sights for balancing

To be fair if your stuck with the front sight block and don't want to swap it over to a low pro block and free float rail. You have 2 options, a quad rail or magpul. Magpul is cheaper then a quad rail and will perform the same in all ways besides maybe holding zero on lasers.

@Bertintremors ARMS S.I.R. rail existed by the early 2000's and wasn't expensive due to being metal. It was just heavy. Which fits with a SAW.
