M18 multi-cyclone mod (update!)

8:05 wont those holes weaken the suction until stuff builds up on those holes and blocks them? Or is the plan to block those holes with something? Ps. What filament did you use

It won't reduce suction. If anything it will slightly help as it gives a shortcut for the air. The air that goes through those holes is ending up in the same place as the rest of the air (outside the inner cylinder, but before the cyclones). In the final vid I'll show some cutaways of the 3D model and animate the flow path. Filament was PLA. I should probably use PETG, but didn't have any on me.

Will you need to add a gasket between the bottom of the cyclone collection chambers and the canister floor? Not sure how well you have to air seal those to prevent dirty air from the coarse dust chamber from being pulled upward into the cyclones.

Yes, absolutely. My plain is to use some thin closed-cell foam. Need something with a bit of squish, but also fairly air tight.
