Most clear and concise guide I've ever seen made for this game. No overexplaining of basic things, clear and to the point with relevant video showing.

I love it when someone "overexplains"... just knowing "stand here, move after cast" doesn't TEACH you why you're doing what you're doing... a very millennial thing to just want the info and not the 'why'.
@CogniVision2 ай бұрын
@@Nimoot Okay buddy... Great job creating your own definition of overexplaining to make such a ridiculous and insulting statement. Simply 'explaining' is teaching someone the why. OVERexplaining, is saying more than is required to teach someone. Cooking is required to prepare food, OVERcooking it is when you're doing more than necessary, and likely burns the dish. See the difference here? That is why I said no OVERexplaining of basic things. I did not say there is a lack of explaining at all. I already cleared this fight, thanks to this guide and it's clear and concise 'explaining.' I can see why you enjoy when someone overexplains. Apparently your language teacher didn't overexplain enough to get reading comprehension through your thick skull.

Really good guide. A suggestion for another simple way to resolve raining cats is to simply have melees stack on the hitbox w/ a healer and ranged further south w/ the other healer, then melees take the first set of tethers and tanks then invuln the next 3. The mech becomes braindead this way.
@nekowishyouagoodsleep65752 ай бұрын
same thought, also works for tank take the first 3 tether and melees take the last.

A few notes from my groupe maybe they help someone: For the spread mechanic we did supports in first then dd second should not make a difference so whatever feels best for your group. For elevate and eviscerate its good to know that she does both versions twice, so two knock ups and two knockdowns the order is random but you can use it for fast positioning if you are the last person to get hit or got two of the same as the first two hits you can invuln 3 of the 4 tethers if you time it right, so having one tank stand close and one tank stand far with the tether while everyone else stands in two groups might be a strategie people use in the future. (we found it easier to just play it normally but that might depend on the group)

@@omensoffate - How so, specifically? Because it's the exact same strats used in this video.
@SaveMeXenu2 ай бұрын
@@DrakeWurrum Well first of all, just like with every guide on this fight, there's no reason whatsoever to have quad baited in 8 different directions and requiring the party to move between the slices, just have your DPS and your supports swap spots for the baits, either card or intercard, and then whichever you don't pick is always safe. Second, he tells you to move 3 tiles to all stack in the same square when Black Cat is smashing the ground underneath you instead of just having you move back and forth to keep positionals. Hector's strats are always very sloppy and can be vastly improved, but because PF latches onto him and refuses to try anything new, we're stuck with his sub-par strats. Hector himself is aware of this, which is why he puts the disclaimer at the start of his videos saying that these are sloppy week 1 strats and better strats will come out, but PF doesn't care. They learn how to do the fight one single way and they will never try anything else.

I think it'll be easier for Melees to go first, then tanks invuln the rest of raining cats.

is there a need to bait card/inter card on quadruple crossing? Is it not better to always just bait, on lets say, inter card to have card always be safe spot?

I don't get the spread at double/quad swipe you said rotate CW but I see none of that happening on screen. seems like ppl just went to predetermined locations
@HopeProductions7772 ай бұрын
The important part is that people do the same thing every pull. Sometimes early days prog I don't have perfect video of the best way. Or pf adopts something slightly different. The important take away is how the mechanic works and what priority to use. So going from the dps spot to the support after the cleaves then back to dps side. Ending with a sup dps pair on each. Or light parties when appropriate. I'm sorry if the inconsistency between on screen and the directions give caused confusion.
@GodMeowMix2 ай бұрын
I'm being thrown off. For double swipe, you initially say, that it's for LPs to be east and west of the boss, but then you say later it should be northwest and southeast. Does it matter? Does it need to be cardinal, or intercardinal, or do LPs just need to be on opposite sides of the boss?
@devcdnpvp2 ай бұрын
The position doesn't matter so long as the LPs know where to stack. His suggestion just makes it easier for groups to travel to relative to the mechanic they just finished.

the cast bar for this attack shows up after the first Nine Lives goes off, so you can see where you need to be going while positioning for the second hit of Nine Lives. you practically need to move immediately after nine lives finishes to be safe

If you are talking about pizza slice after the two initial scratches yes there is a way to tell essentially the first safe spot before nine lives is the teller for the spot safe for the two clones. During the clones go to the left side of one of the clones that also lines up for the safe spot (left or right safe spot depending on the first safe spot used during the scratches) and you should be able to solve the mechanic sorry if this is a bad explanation and if this is the wrong thing I’m explaining but yeah that’s how you solve nine lives
