@johnbean979711 ай бұрын
@@UsudUsud-ly9qr Braindead take, literally any other IFV would perform worse. The bradley has shown time and time again it has great crew survivability, situational awareness and firepower. Using Bradleys 24/7 for offensive action and a few dozen to mines isn't surprising. What is surprising is how 47th Mechanised Bradleys have managed to disable dozens of enemy armoured vehicles and repulse countless assaults on Ukrainian trenches. Hell, they managed to mission kill a T-90M with nothing but their bushmaster since their TOWs were used up. Comparing Bradley losses in Ukraine to losses in Iraq is apples to oranges, Ukraine is fighting an attritional battle with limited resources against a much larger and arguably well-equipped force as opposed to the US completely stomping Iraq in both wars.

TOW vs T14? Very likely RIP T14.... But really, if the T14 fires at a Bradley, unless it's a HEAT round, the shot will penetrate.
@rogerpatton1296 жыл бұрын
I dont think it would even penetrate the ERA. If I've been american constructor, i would have been focused the development of APFSDS rounds rather, then HEAT, or ATGMs in due to high percentage of Warszaw Pact tanks, equiped with ERA of a nice quality.
@Lord_Shadowz6 жыл бұрын
Roger Patton that’s why there’s 2 warheads in the tow missiles now. 1st warhead activates the ERA and spreads the blast and the second charge behind it penetrates the tanks armor and sends molten metal throughout the inside of the tank. Also American tanks and Bradley’s do have ERA but the next M1 has the new armor that’s lighter but made of some sort of composite/steel nanotube mesh. It won’t need ERA Aparently. They’ve already produced several prototypes and are testing them. They finally added full laser detection mode where the turret swings to the direction of where the laser is coming from. There’s also 360 degree FLIR camera system and a new battle management system. It’s also got the new interceptor system. There are 4 tiny launcher/tubes above each FLIR so any missile or RPG can be intercepted on top of having the new armor. There’s a new 120mm gun thy has better muzzle velocity and the army has also begun mass producing the new Sabot which is meant for ERA as well the new programmable 4 in 1 shell. Aparently the ammunition is wirelessly connected to the tank and prior to firing if the TC wants a HEAT the shell can be programmed for heat or the same shell can be programmed to explode as an anti personnel shell. It’s pretty incredible. There’s also a new power pack for the M1A3 that produces a lot more power for less fuel so the tank can be off but still fight if necessary. Eventually they want to put the solid state laser system on the tank and that’s why they need the extra power.

A couple friends of mine served in Bradley's. They were very popular with the troops.
