For all the people just saying to get the M1 or that the M2 isnt worth it, arent Artists. Hover is a HUGE turning point for Digital Artwork for Artists using iPad. This Feature is immensely helpful and we can now do so many things that we wouldve had so much trouble doing before, specifically when Painting with the Apple Pencil. Knowing exactly where and how your stroke is going to land is everything. I specifically sold my M1 for M2 only for the Hover Feature, and its worth Every Single Penny.

100% agree. I had the 7th Gen iPad and Apple Pencil (1st Gen) and I tried to do art on it and I just couldn’t enjoy it like I wanted to. When the iPad Pro 12.9 6th Gen came out, I knew I had to get it. I have just started enjoying art on my iPad! It’s my dream! My physical and mental health has been so bad lately some days I just don’t have the energy to gather all my art supplies so this iPad and its new feature has really saved me. :)

As an architect that sketches alot before moving into 3d designs with experience between m1&2, hover is fine and it helps but its not necessary to even use it. It should have been in long time ago as its an old tech and nothing new. Hover does not help improve ur art, it is just a slight convenience. People are complaining because its not necessary to upgrade to m2. There is nothing that cn utilise m2 full potential hence m1 is more money-saving. However m2 is better for future-proofing and much better for 3d designers rather than drawings.

Cool tips! BTW, the signatures in the new sig option in the Pencil tool palette is synced to signatures you already have saved in Preview! I would expect new ones created here will also show up in preview as well. Also BTW, if you like Freeform, a doc there is basically just like one page from a Microsoft Notes document, but without the multiple levels of organization built into the UI for MS Notes. (The best product MS has ever shipped, IMHO, and it syncs flawlessly between devices and is FREE!)

iPad 12.9 M2 is my 1st, & watched your great video now 10 times. Was confounded by how u add apps to home screen. I tap, tap hold, double tap, and NEVER, do I get menu w/ "Add to home screen" like U do. Only "edit home screen, share or delete. Finally noticed the Pages app appeared in the menu bar at the bottom of the home screen, and able to slide it from there onto the home screen. lol

Everyone has different needs and wants. I have the M2 iPad Pro and I love it as artist. Is the Wacom Cintiq pro better technically? Yes but it’s also more expensive than the iPad pro by a great margin. Everyone is different. I chose the iPad over a android due to family using Apple products so I can face time them and my deaf step daughter so the 12.9 display works great as a portable way to have a device that is sign language friendly. Honestly does it really matter who came out with which first? It’s there and available. I’m not gonna act negatively toward Apple or android or people that use either one’s just cause I don’t agree or have a different opinion cause in the end it’s a opinion and no one really cares 😅

Thanks for the video! Did you have a problem of battery draining fast on the M2 2022 iPad Pro? I’m using mostly Notability since I’m a student. I’ve updated to the latest version of iOS and cancelled some of the location services and background apps to reduce battery consumption but still it looks like it drains pretty fast

There is a big misunderstanding of degrees vs trades these days. An AA so you know someone can write, read, and reason above a high school level and a trade certificate should be plenty for most jobs. Just a certificate should be adequate for many jobs.
