Can monkey lights be installed onto brompton electric 16” wheels?

I would like to install close to the rim of my wheel but the spokes are too far apart. Is there a risk in looping the cable ties other than making it easier for thieves to steal?

I have the M232R. Clicked on the install video from the website and this popped up. Wrong model. No so bad, except that I have a 20” bike, which is advertised to work with the M232R. It doesn’t, on the front wheel because the spacing on the wheel is too tight to fit in the battery pack on the hub. Big disappointment! False advertising, will work on rear wheel only. I bought two sets for my front and back, so now I have an extra that I can’t return because I opened it. They should advertise that this set on,y works on a rear wheel due to this issue.

Wish I knew how annoying this thing was to install before I bought it. Too many straps.

Sorry you feel that way Paige, but we only use two zipties for the battery pack and two zipties for the light. Zip ties have proven to be the most secure mounting system we have found for the widest variety of wheels possible. Not to mention if you move your lights to a new wheel, you can get new zip ties at hardware stores everywhere!
