2 tone paint job, something similar to the Falken tire drift cars, but instead of the rectangles bringing together the 2 colors make it a subtle fade. Because of the car's simple body style but new and powerful engine, the color scheme should be mix of sensible and outlandish. I recommend a white to dark maroon fade (white on the hood maroon on the trunk) since it will really bring out any stickers and sponsors you put on the car later.

If you're gonna smash it with a livery (and most probably you would), then the colour really depends on the livery scheme. So, as long as thats done properly, you can paint it as crazy as you want

the easiest way to find out where its hitting on the hood is to use toothpaste. Put a small drop on the highest point that you think is hitting and it will rub off on to the hood. It's easy to see and clean off.

Dan, I'm sure you know this... but if you put a line of masking tape down the plasma cutter will only cut below the tape making your cuts more precise... I used to do this on school buses all the time when installing A/C units and emergency hatches!

Bradley Knight that's damn smart. The arc cant easily go through the tape so it wont cut it which leaves a perfect line. That's a damn good tip.
