Congratulations Graham with your tank milestone. I wasn't initially a fan of your tank restoration but with time I grew excited with your passion and workmanship. I wish you well with your business and private pursuits.

That's what you call laying down rubber. Fantastic effort - to get it from what it was to a full, driveable tank is an unbelievable achievement.

Outstanding effort Graham, well done mate! She sounds a wee bit cammy! I can see an acreage in your future, where your tank can be a "free range" tank, running wild on the green grass. With a shed, large enough to house her and do your work. Now you have earned that tee shirt "Sheet metal is for sissies!" 😉👍

Well done, great to see another Stuart back to life. I had an M3A1 years ago and loved all the changes like smashing my elbow into the third basket when shifting, crawling in ass up feet first, the great visibility…from the TC position in the turret and almost none from the drivers seat and the great sound of the 670 when she first up? Two suggestions if I may, give it power when turning and if you can get AV gas (aviation petrol) it will run like a bat out of hell. Cheers, Steve from Pennsylvania

Hi Graeme, just a question on the (now gone) XW; I followed it from the beginning and have a question to ask if you don't mind: It was clearly as gone as a car could be, but even 6 cylinder XWs are a classic car very much in demand. My question is: Having taken it to the very restorable condition in which you sold it, was it too far gone to start with? In other words, did you sell it for as much as you would have had to charge a customer at your standard hourly rate? (Don't want any actual dollars, that's none of my business, but you've just done an experiment in how bad is too bad to bother restoring an XW 6 cyl sedan as opposed to say a super desirable end product like a factory 351 XA or a 308 HT Monaro). Thanks.

As a chap who fixes rust, a crushed roof is easier to fix than rust. The car had a very solid cowl, and the engine bay was straight. The car probably owed me more than I got for it, if not for the money it earned from youtube.
