I've done my trunk and the rear seat of my '13 STI, still need to do my doors as well. Definitely cuts the higher pitch noises when opening and closing the doors. Good Vid!!!!

I'm definitely gonna do this. Starting with the trunk and rear seat first and then the doors.

Need to do this on mine but have been too lazy to get started

Starting is the hardest part!

You should do the inside/backside of the door cards.I did mine and it’s fantastic
@phillipcastro44942 жыл бұрын
I've been wanting to do this since I saw your first video on it. Obviously you wouldn't put the mat anywhere that would impede the panel going back on. But where you did place it on the door did the the panel go back on flush?
@Autofreakgarage2 жыл бұрын
Yes I kept it away from the perimeter of the door card and away from the clip holes. Fit just as well as it did without it.

Hey bud so ima just throw the speakers in today bc its nice out but the sound deadening mite take a lil too long for me. But should i remove my negative terminal or should i be fine just because in replacing just quic lil plugs
@Autofreakgarage2 жыл бұрын
You’ll be fine since it’s just plugs. But if you want to be safe, it doesn’t take long to remove the neg.

Hey bro did you put that plastic back on the door panel that you ripped off or did you just pull it off completely? Im working on my driver side noe just wondering if i should try to keep that lil layer of plastic on when im done
@Autofreakgarage2 жыл бұрын
Yes I put it back

It will be interesting to see how much more you invest in this Subie now that is officially destined to be sold and become part of your past ownership history. Why not put the sound deadening in cab of the F150? Just an observation that seems reasonable to ask it seems to me.
@Autofreakgarage2 жыл бұрын
F150 doesn’t need any. It’s as quiet as a mouse.

I had a 2015 f-150 before I traded it for a 21 sti. My f-150 had a 6 inch lift and aggressive tires. If you plan on getting a lift or tires on yours road noise will increase and the kill mat would be much appreciated. I put ballistic hollow point sound deadening in mine.
@Autofreakgarage2 жыл бұрын
I hear ya. But compared to my STI, the STI is as quiet as a rolls haha.

Is it possible to remove the alcantara inserts from the door cards?
@Autofreakgarage2 жыл бұрын
Yes, they are removable.
@ColoredSquid2 жыл бұрын
@@Autofreakgarage Do you imagine it being particularly difficult? What would be involved in getting them off? Are they glued? I’d like to have mine re-done by Overland in the future. Thanks.
@Autofreakgarage2 жыл бұрын
I haven’t looked in depth but they are most likely clipped or screws in on the back of the cards.
@mysubaruwrx2 жыл бұрын
I had overland do both of mine w/ the hyper blue stitching 👌armrests are removable but the inserts I had to cut the bottom out
@ColoredSquid2 жыл бұрын
@@mysubaruwrx Nice! I was hoping I wouldn’t have to do any cutting or anything like that so I’ll have to wait until I’m a little more prepared to tackle that project. Thanks for the insight!
