Nice review Rob, interesting chat with Darren. Sounds an interesting film, doll looks super creepy, even as a toy. Didn't know anything about this other than seeing pictures for its release. You've got my interest so will keep it in mind. Don't really go in too much for horror films but this sounds different. Thanks for the info, take it easy cheers Rob.

1st couple of times watching the trailer for this movie briefly i wasn't sure or what much to think of it, but after watching the review on this, i definitely have a different outlook on it. especially after the impressive rating i couldn't believe you guys gave, i have to watch this must see film. i like horror movies a lot, and i didn't think this one would be that scary, but just going by the ratings, i definitely wanna give this one a try someday :) . i just don't know what to say. totally speechless, and i can't believe my ears and eyes to what i just witnessed and saw based on this review. i wanna watch this movie in a dark room with noone around in a movie theater setting with scary reactions like in "The Shining" or something. i think that would be nice :) . at least 3 and a half stars on my end just from the review. It is not too much of a jump scare movie, but what can happen if let computers and AI come in and take over. As we mentioned in the video, it sort of has.

I don't know if you've seen my community posts but I have been using the community tab and recently I shared some pictures of Dick Van Dyke visiting the set of Carry on up the Khyber. I'd recommend looking at those pictures if you haven't seen them, I think they're pretty interesting. The reason he was there was because he was in England filming Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the time. I've also reviewed some pretty interesting films recently.

I didn't know Dick Van Dyke visited the set of Carry on Up the khyper. I wonder if he was close by or knew someone. Wasn't Phil Silvers in that one? He might have known Phil. I have been busy in my personal life. I need to get back to seeing movies and videos. I am going to a local Comic Con this weekend as Dr. Strange. I hope you have been doing well.

@@RandBreviews Wow that's cool that you're going as Dr. Strange. Yeah Phil Silvers was in one called Follow that Camel he played the role that was originally intended for Sid James. Well I think they were filming Chitty Chitty Bang Bang kind of near to where they were filming Carry on up the Khyber. Carry on star Barbara Windsor did have a cameo in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and I did also hear that another Carry on star Jim Dale was considered for Dick Van Dyke's role Bert in Mary Poppins. Jim Dale did later work with Disney on Pete's Dragon and some other live action Disney films, I think Pete's Dragon is definitely the most well-known of the Disney films he was in. I've heard that even though Dick Van Dyke thinks that Mary Poppins is probably the best movie he's ever been in he still feels like he was miscast and thinks that Jim Dale would've been better in the role. Btw I know that Chitty Chitty Bang Bang isn't a Disney film but I think it's probably often mistaken for being one.

What's interesting is he thought chitty-chitty-bang-bang would outdisney Disney. But I don't think it did. I feel like chitty-chitty-bang-bang has its moments but it's a little bit long in parts.

@@RandBreviews Yeah I can agree with that. I like the film but I think it took too long for the title car to be built and it also took took too long for it to get to the plot in Vulgaria.

I had some fun with this movie, but not to the extend I’ve seen a lot of people express online. I didn’t think it was that funny and I felt the characters were kinda boring and story was filled with illogical moments. That said, Megan herself was awesome and anytime she was on screen I was having fun with the movie. Overall, it was a decent little thriller to kick off the year with.

Thanks for watching the video and leaving a comment. True, there were a couple of moments where I was like why is this character doing that and why are they doing that. But as for the comedy part, except for the toys that crap, it is not really meant to be laugh-out-loud. The satire focuses on people's obsession with technology using it as a crutch and even the commercials for the toys at the beginning of the movie. But I will say this, I walked into the movie not thinking much of it but I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. I agree that it's a decent thriller to kick the year off. I like that the movie had more substance and not just a killer doll going around killing just to kill. If you did a review for the movie I'm definitely going to have to check it out.
