From Iceland, the country that is literally in the middle, between Russia, USA and Europe. All I did think was "A American sounding voice gives the M4 a win, wonder if it was a Russian channel". Being so lucky to live right in the middle. We often feel connected to Asia, Europe, America even though we are Europeans. It gives us a unique view on "What is What". I must say, I agree Jatt. This video is shit. The Ak-12 is by far more effective. All the way back to Ak-47´s in Vietnam vs M-16´s. To M4´s vs Ak-12´s. The Russians still win when it comes to making the best assault rifles. If I would rule Iceland, Iceland would try to buy the Ak-12´s or maybe the Ak-15´s. Have not looked in to them yet. However our small armed forces could use these Ak-12´s. I would not put in their hands some 20 plus year old models of M4´s Putin is obviously doing great things when it comes to his military ground forces. I just wish I had the power to work more with Russia to build a better relationship between the continents. There is literally so much Russia can gain from Europe/America and vice versa. We are talking about a United European Empire that would last for at least 20.000 more years. With Russia, Europe and America all working back together as Europeans before we explored our ways in to new worlds when we all used to be Vikings exploring the now known European continents. Russia, Europe and America united all with one cause. We would become the most powerful empire the world has ever seen. Don´t forget the Australians... They also got a seat at the table, however something tells me they would never sit at it. Their mind is twisted after being on the wrong side of the planet for so long ;) No offense intended. Thats not true at all, I dont know why people think that. AKs take longer to fail but once they do they are notoriously difficult to repair, everything is permanently fixed together. if you have to replace the barrel on an AR you can do it in a couple of minutes in the field, if you need to replace your barrel on an AK you need a hydraulic press, a workshop, and a good knowledge in gunsmithing

@@tp57078 "you just need to pull out one pin"... my friend, to take the barrel pin from an AK you need either a hydraulic press or a hydraulic air hammer, both of which will cost a few thousand in US dollars, you then need a conical chisel and punch to finish it or a long drift pin. Once you have gone through the lengthy process of "pulling out one pin" you actually have to remove the barrel, which will need a 20-30 ton hydraulic press or an air hammer. if you attempt to do any of this without first making sure the trunnions are tight and well supported through the entire process you will bend the rifle and make it unusable. To get the new barrel in is significantly more difficult. This is not something you can do in the field, you will need a workshop and some very expensive tools, Kalashnikov was not built to be taken apart, she will last a very long time but when she breaks its over, you get a new one.

There are a ton of issues with the scoring system. While I personally like the AR platform more, this video doesn't do enough justice to the AK platform. Moreover it feels like a comparison of wikipedia articles rather than an actual detailed analysis of either platform. Comparing things like weight, barrel length, effective range, and fire rate do not hold too without context and more information. For example, the weight of either weapon will change drastically depending on the configuration of the weapon in terms of things like the barrel, attachment interface, configurations of attachments, and etc. I feel like the video needed much more depth, much more research, and more analysis of the different aspects of the weapons. You should also screen the videos for weapon variants that aren't a part of the video. For example, there was a prototype AK-12 within the video alongside AK-15s and production AK-12s. I don't mean to be rude, but I want to provide good criticism about the video as I feel like it would be helpful for constructing higher quality ones in the future.

Is it? I'm pretty sure that in Vietnam, they found that in CQB, the biggest factor in who won the fight was the highest fire rate. I mean, there has to be a balance, a gun that goes empty in half a second is as useless as one that is effective a bolt action.

@huuduyvu97144 жыл бұрын
@@sankhyohalder97 nah, the one who win the close quarter combat is not the one who necessarily bigger, stronger or better fire-supported like in the case of American soldiers when facing Vietnamese soldiers at close distance; but the one who have more will and readier to die for mission accomplising, in this situation surely is ours. Out of ammo or in time for reload the enemy can reach the gap, then who have gut to strike bayonet and accept being stabbed will likely stab the opponent first. And don't forget that while AK-47 ancestor of AK-12 have lower accuracy than M-16 father of M-4 (still acceptable with Soviet and Vietnamese doctrine), it has an overall more realiability, durability and suit better for vast different natural environments and physical impacts (mud, sand, water, ice, drop,...). It's critical in tropical jungle where all those factors except ice eliminated the M-16 badly which cause jamming (just shoot more than 2 mags continuously and M-16 will basically malfuction without these things); then surely you don't want a jammed stick in your hand before the barrel of an assault rifle. Fire rate and accuracy are just 2 among many factors that matter in battle for rifle. Higher fire rate and boom, jammed; does it have any meaning left? Accuracy and boom, overheated faster than enemy, is it matter anymore? Is an assault rifle supposed to bring suppressive fire or accurate ballistic?

Ak12 for the average joe that needs a rifle that can be thrown in a closet collecting dust for a couple decades and pull it out without any issues and use it without needing to think about keeping it well lubed and clean. M4 if you have a professional military armory full of spare parts and know it will be well taken care of. Both guns are very good. Just different mindsets on how they should be used. All Aks are stupidly simple and anyone can take care of them. The parts are big and hard to lose. They are easy to clean and work well even when dirty or dry. M4/m16/AR like to be kept well lubed and work better that way and need cleaning a bit more often. Both are accurate and reliable. AK 5.45x39 has less options for good ammo vs 5.56/223 But even the worst crap steel case ammo in an AK is going to be better than the average shooter will need in any sort of combat. I would take the ak12 just knowing it will likely work just fine the rest of my life even if its not treated right. Too many stories of nasty old rusty AKs being taken apart cleaned and oiled and still working flawlessly. The m4/AR platform is a bit too tight for that. Let them get that messed up and its likely a lost cause trying to get them to function again. Hard to go wrong no matter what you pick between the two. Hopefully we will never see these two go head to head in any full scale ground war.

You can get an AK chambered in 7.62x39, 5.45x39, 5.56x45 Newer generations allow for 7.62x51 and so on. You can't get an AR-15 chambered in 7.62x39 or 5.45x39 with out it being completely custom made. AK's are so good they can be built shitty and still work. AK's are so easy to operate with. You can teach someone that knows nothing about guns in about 3 hours, If you were teaching someone how to use a AR-15, it would take you 3 weeks to cover the basics of an AR-15. The AK is easy to use that a child can use it, and they do.
@snakevenom562 жыл бұрын
>custom made dawg they've been selling 7.62x39 AR-15 uppers that fit onto normal AR-15 lowers for years. Same with 5.45, but theres less options, *kinda the same with 5.56 AKs.* So by all accounts you can have one registered 'firearm,' and be able to either swap uppers or individual components between 5.56, 7.62x39, 300 blackout, 6.5 grendel, 5.45, .224 valk, all with either no or very little actual gunsmithing. As far as I can tell, even if you wanted your AK-12 to be in 5.56, you're still gonna have to buy an entirely separate AK19. and if theres one thing the American gun market, or even Kalashnikov Media should be able to teach you, its that theres a big difference between a crude finish and some misaligned parts, compared to actually poorly made components. Cause we have companies that both try to make cheap, crude ARs and cheap, crude AKs, and I'll generally say its the ones that make ARs that are able to stay in business with something of a serviceable reputation for longer. And really, if it takes you even three hours to teach someone to fingerbang an AR-15, you're just a bad teacher, or a nogunz yourself. And I want to make it clear that I own *one* 223 Wylde AR-15, but own a SAR-1, SA-2000M AMD-65, and a ZPAP

Taught my buddy how to field strip an AR before he went into the service. Had him down to 1 minute 10 seconds w/o tools from disassemble to reassemble after 20-30 minutes training on a match grade AR. He informed me that during his training they gave the recruits 4 minutes WITH tools to do the same thing. Both platforms have their pros and cons, but I would give a nod to the gas piston system of the AKs cuz even if it overheats and droops, a few good whacks against a hard object will get it running again whereas an AR gas tube rupture would leave you SOL for semi and auto not to mention injury from flash burn through the hole in the tube when trying to fire like a bolt action.

I don't really get this video. It's comparing a carbine (thanks for the better pronunciation btw) and a rifle, both having different purposes. The M4 was made for close quarters operations, and because of its shorter barrel length (and weight), it was preferable. The AK-12 is basically just your heavily modernized improvement of an AK-74, a full rifle. It's really just not a good idea to compare the two and determine which is the "best", because they're both made for different purposes I expected the answer "lol, neither is better dummy, they're for different purposes" from this video, but sadly they didn't really deliver on that, because I believe that's the correct answer

If I were to make well-funded militia, weapons would be, (Not naming attachments like scopes, sights, lasers, grips, ext, as that would take to long.) Pistol: Glock: 19x (Glocks are extra reliable and the G19 is from my perspective the best to compromise of capacity, caliber size, and size Carbine/Rifle: MCX Virtus with Geisel upgrades ( Was choosing between this and the HK416, both being reliable weapons used by CAG but the modular ability of the MCX to go from shooting 600 meters away to changing the barrel relatively fast to one primed for CQB makes it my choice DMR: M110a1 (I literally have no idea why I choose this one, I pretty much just said this sense the US Army is using this as a new SDMR and it’s replacing the trusted SR-25 LMG: Knights Armament LAMG (An extremely light LMG that is around the weight of a Thompson or M27, most likely extremely competent at the squad or fireteam level for small unit maneuvers and suppression however can’t use STANMAGs like the M249 SAW Light Medium Machine Gun: Knights Armament AMG ( Extremely light for a NATO 7.62 machine gun however not adequate for long periods of suppressive fire similar to USSOCOM’s MK48 LMG Medium Machine gun: M60e6 (Much more reliable than its Vietnam era counterpart and can provide good suppressing fire while lighter than the M240 series or FN MAG

One Day so...ironically...because I am small (5’3” 140lbs) the X95 would be better FOR ME! Personally! But my recommendation is for the IWI CTAR-21 with the 15” heavy weight carbide free floating barrel, heat resistant, chrome covered, stainless steel, bolt face, I wish Israel would fix the but stock but that’s really a tiny personal preference. Again, as a professional, a have preferred lighter and lighter trigger pull weights as I have gotten better and better at engaging the enemy by automatically going to a rapid, accurate, single shot fire mode (the optimum method of tactical shooting). There is actually an aftermarket company that makes an alternate buttstock for the Tavor/X95 family of weapons. An they have a replacement Butt Stock that “gives” up to an inch of “give” after ever round, plus an all new LEGIT muzzle break/compensator that is suppressor compatible, PLUS the rubber butt stock cover/appendage tapers away from the weapon as it goes up thus preventing the weapon from sliding down. .push pistons gas operating system.

As someone that has done a long range shoot of both weapons, I can say that the AK sprays all over the place at 300, and I had shot decently at 400 with the M4. To all those that will say that I'm more of an AR guy than AK, it's not true. I've shot AKs more than ARs. Both have their advantages compared to one another. I dont know if I would consider the m4 better in terms of fire rate faster fire rate leads to less control in terms of range, the ak12 I would bet can fire more rounds at greater distances with better accuracy because if you want to have the same accuracy with the m4 you would need to slow down your rate of fire which is why they started making guns with burst fire option the video didnt talk about the modes of fire the guns have either which was disappointing they left the impression that they have one mode of fire which is inaccurate.
@Edmondson_Avenue3 жыл бұрын
Wrong!!! Lmmfao they didn't add burst to slow down the rate of fire for accuracy lmmfao they did because during the Vietnam war soldiers and marines would do what's called spray and pray, they would literally load and hold the trigger doing mag dumps without looking for the enemy and wasting ammunition so the military brass mainly the marines had a burst option added in place of the full auto option and the M16A2 was born and adopted in 1983 by the marines and in 1986 by the army, it had nothing to do with accuracy, any AR/M16/M4 platform is more accurate than any ak platform! Cut it out!
@DarthVader-yd9id3 жыл бұрын
@@Edmondson_Avenue so your saying they added the burst fire option too slow down the rate of fire which would...increase accuracy and why did they do that because soilders were mag dumping into the bushes wasting ammunition so I dont see how you contradicted my statement And yes the ak12 is highly accurate it will give any of our modern military firearms a run for its money
@Edmondson_Avenue3 жыл бұрын

@@Edmondson_Avenue bro they put the burst on there to slow down the rate of fire for better accuracy Go take an M4 fire down range 300yrds on full auto at a target and then again with burst fire at a secondary target and you tell me which target is gonna have more holes in it It's only a waste of ammunition if you dont hit your target I can guarantee you when the military considered the whole issue with burst fire it wasnt because they where trying to save in ammunition it was because they wanted their soilders to hit their targets and not waste all their ammo shooting at the jungle because they could only carry so much ammunition at a time And as for an AK that's just as accurate or more than our platforms go look up the AK-107 it has no recoil

While I have not seen or tested the AK12. I cannot say how much better it is as compated to the previous AK platform Platform firearms. However from past tests of the AK vs the Stoner AR/ M16/M4 platorm the AR/ M16/M4 wins each time. As in terms of accuracy and functionality in challanging elements like mud etc. As the AR/ M4 sights and closed operational system while the AK is an open operational system easily prone to jamming. However the rear sight on the new AK12 looks improved, like finally a Peep sight takeoff instead of the old Tangent sights. Some will debate whether the AK's 545x39 cartridge go farther and ornetrais deeper then the AR/ M16/M4 556 cartridges. It will be interesting to check out this new AK12 platform system.
